In order to explore the influence of family social-economic status,coping style and parental care on children’s and adolescents’ general self-efficacy,1500 adolescents were investigated with Family Social-economic Status Questionnaire,Simple Coping Style Questionnaire,Parental Rearing Style Scale and Self-efficacy Scale.The results showed that:(1)Gender and age have significant effects on general self-efficacy of children and adolescents.Among them,the level of general self-efficacy of boys is significantly higher than that of girls.The level of general self-efficacy of children and adolescents of middle school age is lower than that of children and adolescents of primary school age;(2)family social-economic status can positively predict adolescents’ general self-efficacy;(3)positive coping style plays a mediating role between family social-economic status and general self-efficacy,while negative coping style has no significant effect on family social-economic status and general self-efficacy;(4)parental care plays a role in family social-economic status and general self-efficacy;(5)family social-economic status affects positive coping styles through parental care,and then affects children and adolescents’ general self-efficacy,that is,parental care and positive coping styles play a chain mediating role.
