With the vigorous rise of the new generation of information technology revolution and the acceleration of the pace of economic and social digital transformation,digital technology has permeated all walks of life,increasingly becoming an important force in promoting qualitative and dynamic changes in economic development,an important means of promoting high-quality economic development,and playing an increasingly important role in optimizing resource allocation,improving total factor productivity,and building a modern industrial system,Countries around the world therefore attach great importance to the development of the digital economy.In this context,in order to promote the rapid development of China’s digital economy,it is necessary not only to accurately grasp the current situation and characteristics of the development of the digital economy,but also to grasp the correlation and spread effects between China’s digital economy and various industries,to achieve two-way driving of digital industrialization and industry digitization,and to release the strong economic driving force of the digital economy industry.This thesis studies the industrial correlation and industrial spread effects of China’s digital economy from the industrial and temporal dimensions.Firstly,based on the "Statistical Classification of the Digital Economy and Its Core Industries(2021)" issued by the National Bureau of Statistics,this thesis classifies the digital economy industry based on defining the concept of the digital economy and screening its products.Subsequently,on the basis of sorting out the commonly used industrial separation methods in the current academic community,the industrial separation method in this thesis is proposed.Based on the inputoutput tables of China in 2012,2015,2017,2018,and 2020,as well as the data from the third and fourth economic censuses,the input-output tables of China’s digital economy industry are compiled.Secondly,based on the basic flow data of the industrial input-output table for the digital economy,this thesis understands and grasps China’s industrial structure from three aspects: initial input structure,final use structure,and industrial type characteristics.On this basis,a comprehensive analysis of the correlation effects of China’s digital economy industry is conducted from three perspectives: backward,forward,and circumferential.Finally,this thesis comprehensively studies and analyzes the spread effects of China’s digital economy industry by measuring relevant indicators such as influence,sensitivity,production induced effects,final demand dependence,and employment spread effects.The research finds that the integration degree of most industries in China and the digital economy industry is gradually increasing,but the overall level is still not high;The digital economy industry belongs to an "investment dependent" industry,while most of the remaining industries are "consumption driven" industries;The digital economy industry plays a significant role in driving and promoting other industries in the national economy,and is at the upstream level in all product sectors;The digital economy industry has a relatively significant direct promotion effect on employment,and also has a strong employment driving ability for other sectors.Based on the above empirical research results,this thesis proposes to promote the deep integration of digital technology and traditional industries,and improve the synergy of digitalization on traditional industries;Increase investment in scientific research and technological innovation in the digital economy,and complement the development weaknesses of the digital economy industry;Establish a long-term mechanism for the growth of the digital economy,and give full play to the supporting and promoting role of the digital economy industry;Strengthen the integration of the digital economy and people’s livelihood,and fully utilize the employment spread effect of the digital industry to promote employment.This study can provide useful theoretical basis for accelerating the adjustment and upgrading of China’s industrial structure,and provide theoretical and practical reference for relevant departments to formulate strategies that meet the development level of China’s digital economy.
