| School physical education is an important part of the implementation of national fitness,and plays a very important role in the construction of China’s sports power.College students have reached adulthood,and during this period,a large amount of information is flooded around them,which is an important stage for students to form sports values.College students are in a critical period of life development,but due to various reasons,physical education in colleges and universities has been unsatisfactory,especially in vocational colleges,where physical exercise is even less valued.How to change this situation,help students establish correct sports values,and cultivate the awareness of lifelong sports is a topic worthy of in-depth research.By analyzing the current situation of vocational college students’ sports values,exercise motivation,and sports participation,as well as studying the relationship between the three,it can help us better understand the current situation and existing problems of vocational college students’ sports,and provide targeted responses to help Tianjin vocational college students establish correct sports values,improve their level of exercise motivation,and lay a good foundation for lifelong sports awareness.This article takes students from five vocational colleges,including Tianjin Electromechanical Vocational and Technical College,Tianjin Electronic Information Technology College,Tianjin Commercial Vocational College,Tianjin Maritime Vocational College,and Tianjin Vocational University,as research samples.The research objects are students’ sports values,exercise motivation,and sports participation in vocational colleges.In this study,we mainly used the methods of literature review,questionnaire survey,and mathematical statistics to investigate the current situation of sports values,exercise motivation,and sports participation of students in Tianjin vocational colleges;To understand the differences in sports values,exercise motivation,and sports participation among students of different genders,grades,whether they are only children,and different student origins;Analyze the correlation between sports values,exercise motivation,and sports participation;Regression analysis was conducted on sports values,exercise motivation,and sports participation to further explore whether exercise motivation plays a mediating role between sports values and sports participation.The results show that:1.Students in Tianjin higher vocational colleges have a good level of sports values,exercise motivation and sports participation.The average value of spiritual dimension in sports values is the highest,and the average value of fun motivation in exercise motivation is the highest.2.There are significant differences in sports values,exercise motivation and sports participation among students of different genders,grades and majors;Students from different places of origin have significant differences in sports values and exercise motivation,but there is no significant difference in sports participation;There is no significant difference in sports values,exercise motivation and sports participation in whether they are the only child.3.There is a positive correlation between students’ sports values,exercise motivation and sports participation in Tianjin vocational colleges,and the correlation is significant.4.Through regression analysis of sports values,exercise motivation,and sports participation,it was found that sports values can positively affect sports participation;Exercise motivation can positively affect sports participation;Sports values can positively affect exercise motivation.5.Students’ sports values have a direct effect on sports participation,accounting for 55% of the total effect.Exercise motivation plays a partial intermediary role between sports values and sports participation,accounting for 45% of the total effect.That is,sports values can improve students’ sports participation by promoting exercise motivation.According to the results of the study,the following suggestions are put forward:1.Pay attention to the differences of students in gender,grade,major and place of origin,and provide targeted guidance.2.Help students develop a correct sense of sports values,improve their motivation for exercise,and enhance their participation in sports.3.Form a sports environment with students as the main body,teachers as the leading role and schools as the guarantee. |
