At present,the football competition of Chengdu colleges and universities is becoming more and more intense,and the number of college football teams in Chengdu is also growing,and the demand for the quantity and quality of coaches is also more.Competency model has always been one of the hot issues in the field of human resource management,the construction of Chengdu college football coach competency model can be used as a standard to distinguish high-performance coaches and low-performance coaches,explore the potential competency characteristics of Chengdu college football coaches,provide standards and help for the recruitment and selection,training management and performance appraisal of football coaches in Chengdu universities,and then build a sustainable and high-quality coaching team and promote the development of football in Chengdu universities.This paper takes the competency of football coaches in colleges and universities in Chengdu as the research object,and extracts competency indicators through job analysis,literature analysis and behavioral event interviews.Then compile the indicators into an expert questionnaire and distribute them to the experts,and screen and modify the indicators;After that,the indicators obtained are described as measurement questions,and the "Chengdu College Football Coaches Competence Questionnaire" is compiled to distribute and collect to Chengdu college football front-line coaches and Chengdu college football players,and the valid questionnaire collected is tested for T,and the measurement questions that distinguish between high-performing and low-performing people are retained.Exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis were carried out on the retained items,and the model was constructed and verified,and the model was elaborated and applied prospectively.The results show that: 1.The "Chengdu College Football Coach Competence Questionnaire" compiled in this paper can be used as a tool to effectively evaluate the competency level of Chengdu college football coaches,distinguish between high-performing and low-performers,and have a reference for the competency evaluation of Chengdu college football coaches;2.In the modeling process,it can be found that the competency dictionary in other fields,as well as the competency model of coaches in the field of football but coaching players of different ages,cannot be applied to the construction of the competency model of football coaches in colleges and universities in Chengdu;3.In this study,the competency model of football coaches in colleges and universities in Chengdu was obtained,which was composed of18 competency characteristics in 4 dimensions;4.Coaches can refer to this model to evaluate their own competency,in which the dimension of personal characteristics and the dimension of relationship establishment and influence are potential competency characteristics that are not easy to find,and are often the key to deciding to become an excellent coach,and the professional level dimension and cognitive dimension are the basic competency characteristics that the position needs to have,check and fill in the gaps against the model,and improve their professional level;5.Chengdu colleges and universities can use this model to design recruitment information,design selection topics,and observe and evaluate in interviews to recruit and select,so as to achieve job matching and help schools complete their work efficiently;6.According to this model,a training program and performance management system can be established from the dimensions of professional level,personal characteristics,relationship establishment and influence,and cognitive ability,so as to train coaches with "the right medicine",and provide timely feedback and reward mechanisms for coaches;7.This model can help Chengdu universities build a sustainable and high-quality coaching team and promote the development of football in Chengdu universities.
