| Objective: By monitoring the energy consumption of children’s rhythmic gymnasts,we can better grasp the training status of children’s rhythmic gymnasts at different stages of the competition, and provide reference for coaches to formulate training plans and reasonably arrange the amount of exercise.A study was conducted on 13 artistic gymnastics athletes from a children’s amateur sports school in a certain city(age: 9.31 ± 1.17 years old;height: 132.70 ±8.31 cm;weight: 25.76 ± 3.61 kg;training period: 3.65 ± 1.52 years).According to age, children’s rhythmic gymnastics athletes are divided into group B(competition circle, ball, rope)and group C(competition bat, ball, bare hand).Heart rate measurement methods are used, and Polar heart rate meters and heart rate band equipment are used to train and monitor the changes in heart rate, energy consumption, and other indicators of group B and group C athletes during the preparation stage and simulation stage of the competition period.Results:(1)In the two stages of the competition period, the average heart rate and maximum heart rate during the preparation stage were generally higher than those during the simulated competition stage, with significant differences(P<0.05).The average heart rate, maximum heart rate, and minimum heart rate in technical classes are generally higher than those in physical classes.During the simulation competition stage, there were significant differences in the highest heart rate among different sets(P<0.05).The highest heart rate of the second set of rings(185.86 ± 4.74 beats/min)was reached, while the highest heart rate of the third set of rings(186.31 ± 3.19beats/min)was reached.(2)The energy expenditure of children’s rhythmic gymnastics athletes reached its maximum during the preparation stage, with 743.31 kcal and 714.80 kcal in Group B and Group C,respectively, showing significant changes(P<0.05).The energy consumption of technical courses is greater than that of physical courses.During the simulation competition stage, there were significant differences in energy consumption among different sets(P<0.05).The energy consumption of the second set of rings(6.10 ± 1.12 kcal)was the highest, while the energy consumption of the third set of rings(5.97 ± 1.18 kcal)was the highest.(3)The body weight, body fat, lean weight, basal metabolic rate, average heart rate, maximum heart rate, and exercise intensity of young rhythmic gymnasts were significantly correlated with energy expenditure(P<0.05).Conclusions:(1)The heart rate range of children’s rhythmic gymnastics athletes during the competition period is mainly concentrated in the second to third intervals, with a heart rate between 120 beats/minute and 159 beats/minute,and more often during medium intensity training.(2)In terms of competitive training, the energy consumption of children’s rhythmic gymnastics athletes is slightly lower than that of foreign countries, possibly due to different training volumes. In terms of training intensity, this is conducive to the physical growth and development of children’s rhythmic gymnastics athletes, and is conducive to physical and mental health.(3)The complexity of choreography can also affect the energy consumption of young rhythmic gymnasts.(4)There is a certain positive correlation between energy consumption and body composition, heart rate, and exercise intensity, that is,the greater the training intensity, the higher the heart rate, and the greater the energy consumption.Changes in body composition of children’s rhythmic gymnastics athletes also have a certain impact on energy consumption. |
