Analysis Of Pick And Roll Cooperation Characteristics Of Men’s Basketball Semi-finalists In The 2022 3×3 Basketball World Cup

With the development of 3-on-3 basketball,the intensity of competition and defense has continued to increase.The pick-and-roll cooperation,as a common tactic in3-on-3 basketball,has become an important means of scoring in the game and has received increasing attention from teams in recent years.This article uses literature review,statistical analysis,logical analysis,and video observation methods to analyze the basic situation,areas,forms of use,player characteristics,offensive choices,and offensive effects of pick-and-roll cooperation used by the top four teams in the 2022 3-on-3 basketball World Cup.The aim is to explore the common and individual characteristics of pick-and-roll cooperation used by world-class 3-on-3 basketball teams,and to provide reference for the training and development of Chinese 3-on-3 basketball.The main research conclusions are as follows:(1)In this World Cup,the top four teams used pick-and-roll cooperation an average of12.3 times per game,with a high success rate.The teams can obtain an average of 8.7 points per game through pick-and-roll cooperation,and the overall effect is good.Among them,the team with the best use of pick-and-roll cooperation is Serbia,and the worst is Lithuania.(2)The height and weight of the participating players in this World Cup are relatively balanced.The players who participate in pick-and-roll cooperation have obvious differences in height and weight characteristics.The screening players are relatively tall and heavy,and can effectively block the movement of defensive players when screening.The height and weight of the screened players are relatively small and are in the middle and lower ranges of the overall height and weight of all participating players.(3)The top four teams mainly use pick-and-roll cooperation in the high position area,with a success rate of over 80% overall.In terms of individuals,Serbia is more effective in attacking in the second and third areas,Lithuania is more effective in attacking in the third area,France is more effective in attacking in the first and second areas,and Belgium is more effective in attacking in the first and third areas.The top four teams are more effective in using pick-and-roll cooperation in the third area,while the effect in the first and second areas is relatively average.(4)In terms of the form of pick-and-roll cooperation,the top four teams mainly use rear screening,followed by lateral screening,and the use of front screening is the least.There is no significant difference in the use of different pick-and-roll forms in various areas,and the success rate of various pick-and-roll cooperation forms is high.In terms of offensive effectiveness,the subsequent offensive methods of rear screening and lateral screening are relatively diverse,while the subsequent offensive method of front screening is relatively single.Using rear screening to launch pick-and-roll can make the screening player quickly cut in and initiate an attack after successfully blocking the defensive player,and it has the best offensive effect.(5)The screening players in the top four teams mainly use the inside cut and catch as their subsequent offensive method,accounting for 65.3%,and are mostly used in lateral screening and rear screening.The subsequent offensive methods are more diverse,and the offensive effect is best when the screening player chooses to cut inside or pull out.The screened players mainly pass the ball to the screening players after screening,accounting for39.28%.The main way for the top four teams to score through pick-and-roll cooperation is for the screened player to pass the ball to the player who cut inside and then score by breaking through.The offensive choices of the screened players are the main factors affecting the effectiveness of pick-and-roll cooperation for the top four teams.
