| The core of the "double reduction" policy is to "reduce the burden and improve the quality".It mainly reduces the academic burden of students from several aspects,such as reducing the total amount of homework on campus,improving after-school services and off-campus training management.STEAM education is student-centered and based on social problems.It provides more efficient teaching mode for schools and cultivates comprehensive talents for society.It pays attention to the interaction between students and other social groups in the STEAM education system and forms a mechanism of cooperation between families,schools and society.In these aspects,STEAM education is highly consistent with the "double reduction" policy,and the integration of STEAM education concepts into courses can help achieve core literacy.This study attempts to introduce the concept of STEAM education into the biology teaching of junior high school,so as to conduct practical exploration of STEAM education for training comprehensive talents.By reading relevant literature,this paper sorts out the origin,development,research status at home and abroad of STEAM education,and sorts out STEAM and STEAM education concept.Through the case analysis method,this paper explores the STEAM teaching model framework that ADAPTS to the requirements of Chinese curriculum standards,namely project context introduction(pre-class introduction),determination of teaching content and allocation of teaching resources around the project core,design of STEAM teaching support and carry out inquiry activities,display and optimize the establishment of inquiry results,application and evaluation.Through questionnaire survey,the following problems commonly exist in junior high school biology teaching: most students seldom pay attention to biological phenomena and problems in life,and use the biological knowledge to explain;most students think biology is difficult to study;most teachers have not established the advanced concept of continuous learning,and lack of understanding of STEAM education concept;junior high school teachers lack opportunities to participate in teaching and research activities.The teaching case designed in this study is applied to teaching practice through practical research method.Through the comparative analysis between the experimental class and the control class,the results show that there are significant differences in the performance of each dimension of core literacy between the experimental class and the control class in this practical research.The results of this study show that biology teaching activities permeated with the STEAM education concept can promote the cultivation of students’ core biological literacy,promote the comprehensive development of students,not only contribute to the improvement of teaching quality,but also facilitate the implementation of the "double reduction" policy.The shortcomings of this study are: the research Angle is limited;the biology teaching model integrated into the STEAM education concept is not mature enough;it is difficult to get support from social platforms and resources due to geographical limitations;teaching case design is less. |
