With the continuous deepening of the reform of basic courses,the development and utilization of history course resources are further deepening.In recent years,the high school history curriculum reform has proposed the general high school history curriculum standard,which puts forward new requirements for the comprehensive and deep development of high school history teaching.In this context,how to use information technology to develop innovative classroom teaching modes to promote diversified teaching methods and improve the effectiveness of history classroom teaching has become a concern for many history teachers.Currently,short videos,as a representative product of information technology,have a wide social audience,high circulation,and rich educational functions.At the same time,short videos have vivid and intuitive characteristics,which can be an effective carrier of historical knowledge in history teaching.Therefore,exploring the use and development of short videos in high school history teaching and exploring the educational functions of short videos is an issue worthy of discussion.Through reading related literature,student surveys,and teacher interviews,it was found that short videos have been preliminarily used in high school history teaching and have achieved good results.At the same time,short videos in high school history teaching also have many development advantages:(1)visualization of boring historical knowledge;(2)help for teachers and students with insufficient knowledge acquisition channels;(3)as a carrier for cultivating core literacy;(4)constructing historical situations to facilitate students to establish historical perceptual understanding;(5)reducing teacher preparation workload.However,there are still many problems in the development and use of short video resources in high school history teaching,mainly manifested as a lack of supporting short video resource library;confusing selection of short videos and content unrelated to textbooks;unreasonable short video playback time;procedural and formalized phenomena in the use of short videos in history teaching.Therefore,in response to the problems encountered in the development and use of short videos in high school history teaching,the following optimization measures are taken:(1)teachers and students cooperate to make short video resources suitable for teaching needs based on textbook content and other factors;(2)adhere to principles such as scientificity,goal orientation,timeliness,interestingness,and moderation in selecting short videos;(3)correctly use short video resources according to different types of short videos and different teaching stages;(4)teachers should consciously control the playback time of short videos,reduce irrelevant information interference,guide students’ classroom attention correctly,and timely receive feedback from students.In this way,the auxiliary role of short videos in high school history teaching can be better played,the teaching efficiency of history classes can be improved,the innovative development of history teaching modes can be promoted,and students’ interest in history can be enhanced.
