| Chinese martial arts have lasted for thousands of years,from ancient times to the Republican era,but they have always existed in the form of "skills".In the early twentieth century,with the continuous development of the domestic situation and the wide spread of Western culture,martial arts gradually developed in the direction of education and sports.After the "Gengzi Incident" at the end of the Qing Dynasty,people from all walks of life began to study martial arts from the perspective of sports and education,and organizations aimed at promoting and studying martial arts were established one after another,and their related activities became more and more frequent,and monographs and publications on martial arts proliferated.Wushu gradually developed into an independent discipline.Although some articles mention the discipline of martial arts when discussing the scientificization of martial arts,martial arts education and the transformation of modern martial arts,the research on it is not comprehensive.Therefore,it is necessary to reveal the motives,process and characteristics of the development of the martial arts discipline in the Republic of China,so as to provide reference for future research.The purpose of this paper is to clarify the motives for the sprouting of martial arts disciplines in the Republican period,examine the process of developing martial arts disciplines in the Republican period,explore the characteristics of the development of martial arts disciplines,and put forward enlightening suggestions and reflections in the context of the bottlenecks in the development of martial arts discipline construction at present.This paper takes the development process of disciplinary development of wushu in the Republic of China as the research object.The research methods used include the documentary method,historical analysis method,and expert interview method.The conclusions of this study are: 1.In the early Republic of China,people fell into the misconception of "complete westernization",which led to the difficult development of martial arts disciplines representing the local culture.2.Theoretical studies and writings on martial arts disciplines in the Republic of China mainly focused on the illustration of martial arts techniques,ignoring the connection between martial arts and other disciplines,which was rather one-sided.3.3.In the late Republic of China,due to the outbreak of the Total Anti-Japanese War,the domestic form was severe and the environment was chaotic,which led to the development of the martial arts discipline to decline.The recommendations of this study include:1.The development of contemporary martial arts disciplines should moderately integrate Chinese and Western cultures under the premise of highlighting their own characteristics and conform to the development of the times.2.Clarify the objects of research of martial arts disciplines,choose scientific research methods,follow the principle of interpenetration between martial arts disciplines and various related disciplines,combine the knowledge of other fields or related disciplines to respond to realistic needs,and establish a sound theoretical framework of martial arts disciplines.3.strengthen institutional guarantee to establish an effective mechanism for the development of contemporary martial arts disciplines. |
