With the development of the times and the continuous progress of society,China’s development in the field of big data information is very rapid,which makes the knowledge of statistics essential in our life.That is why China needs better mathematics education.Our country’s curriculum reform is also ongoing.In 2003,the Ministry of Education issued the "General High School Mathematics Curriculum Standard(Experiment)" to guide the teaching practice in the past ten years,until the latest "General High School Mathematics Curriculum Standard(2017 Edition)" was issued in 2017,the preparation of new textbooks began,and put into use in the autumn semester of 2019.The probability and statistics part of the new text-book has changed greatly.In the General High School Mathematics Curriculum Standards(2017Edition),the "statistics and probability" part has clearly become one of the four main lines of the high school mathematics knowledge curriculum content.Therefore,this thesis will make a comparative study of the content of probability and statistics in the new and old versions of mathematics textbooks,and know the changes in the content of probability and statistics in the two versions of textbooks,which can better promote teachers to understand and grasp the textbooks,and is of great significance to the teaching practice of front-line teachers.By selecting the "General High School Textbook · Mathematics(Human Education B Edition)" and "General High School Experimental Textbook · Mathematics(Human Edu-cation B Edition)" as the research objects,using the literature research method,comparative research method,content analysis method and other research methods,this thesis makes a comparative analysis from the chapter structure,column setting,knowledge content,number of example exercises,and multiple dimensions of difficulty,and draws the following research conclusions:column setting optimization,More attention should be paid to the students’ learning process,the knowledge content should be more complete,the expression should be clear and reasonable,the number of example exercises and the difficulty should be significantly increased.The research conclusions of this thesis put forward some teaching suggestions for the content of probability and statistics: comprehensively and carefully analyze the new curriculum standard,and grasp the basic concepts and ideas;Carefully experience the changes in some knowledge of "statistics and probability",and thoroughly study the textbook;Set up problem situations based on real life and strengthen the connection between knowledge and reality;Infiltrate mathematical thinking methods to promote the development of core literacy;Enrich classroom teaching mode and guide students to think independently;Teaching should keep pace with the times and pay attention to the integration of modern information technology and statistics and probability knowledge.
