In 2003,the World Health Organization(WHO)identified the internalizing and externalizing behavior of children as a priority concern for children’s mental health.Behavioral problems will bring certain risks to children’s development,so many researchers explore the causes and mechanisms of children’s behavioral problems, hoping that children can follow the track of growth and healthy development.Shyness is a kind of personality characteristic in early childhood. If shyness is too generalized,it may become a risk factor in the process of individual growth, resulting in behavioral problems and hindering children’s social adaptation.According to the individual-environment interaction model, the development of children is the result of the interaction between individual factors and environmental factors. The family is the main place for the early socialization of children, and the emotional expression of parents in the family,as one of the main ways of parents’ emotional socialization behavior, will have an important impact on children’s emotional social adaptive behavior. Therefore,in this study,a total of 313 children and their parents from two public kindergartens in D and B were selected as the research objects.By issuing questionnaires,we understood the possible behavioral problems of shy children and the role of family emotional expression in them.spss26.0 and process3.3 were used to analyze the obtained data.Through descriptive statistics and other methods, the relationship between the three is discussed. On this basis, interviews with preschool teachers were conducted as auxiliary research to further understand the specific behavior of shy children in daily life in the kindergarten, and finally the following conclusions were drawn:First, there are significant differences in children’s shyness in gender, family location, singleness or not,and family population structure.Among them, the degree of shyness of girls is higher than that of boys, the degree of shyness of rural children is higher than that of urban children, the degree of shyness of non-only children is higher than that of only children, and children who only live with their grandparents will have a higher level of shyness.Second, the scores of rural children’s behavioral problems are higher than those of urban children, and the scores of non-only children’s behavioral problems are higher than those of only children.Five years old children have the highest scores of behavioral problems, after five years old, children’s behavioral problems gradually decline;Children who live only with their grandparents develop more behavioral problems.Thirdly, the overall situation of parents’ emotional expression was good, and the score of fathers’ negative emotional expression was higher than that of mothers. The higher the educational level of parents, the higher the degree of positive emotional expression of the family, while with the growth of children’s age,the parents’ negative emotional expression gradually increased.Fourthly, children’s shyness can positively predict their emotional problems, conduct problems, hyperactive attention and inability to communicate with peers Parents’ negative emotional expression can positively predict children’s emotional problems, conduct problems, hyperactive attention and inability to communicate with peers;Parents’ positive emotional expression can negatively predict children’s emotional symptoms and conduct problems.Fifthly, positive emotion expression plays a regulating role in shyness and emotional problems of young children;Negative emotion expression plays a moderating role between shyness, behavior and incapacity of hyperactive attention in young children, which accords with diathesis and stress model.
