Life is once for each person and is the basis for all human existence and development.Life is the origin of education,and education is the need of life.Education,as an activity for the improvement of life quality,has a distinct life nature.As a key course to implement the fundamental task of moral education,the Civic Science course is an important way of life education.As junior high school students are transitioning from infancy to maturity during the critical period of "plucking and gestation",integrating life education into the teaching of junior high school morality and rule of law is conducive to guiding junior high school students to understand life,fear life,guard life,and establish correct values of life.This is not only a requirement of the teaching content of junior high school morality and rule of law curriculum,but also a key to meet the needs of students’ physical and mental development,and to realize the cultivation of the soul and moral education.However,the effect of life education in the current junior high school morality and rule of law curriculum is not satisfactory,and the phenomenon of junior high school students ignoring life and despising life often occurs.How to improve the effect of life education through morality and rule of law courses is becoming an important issue that needs to be studied.By investigating the effectiveness of life education in the teaching of morality and rule of law in junior high school,we try to analyze the existing problems and the causes of the problems.To address these problems,targeted strategies are proposed in specific teaching contexts to improve the teaching effectiveness of life education integration in the curriculum.Specifically,the entire essay upholds the logic of problem formulation,problem analysis,and problem solving,and is designed into the following five sections:First,the background and significance of the selected topic are elaborated,which is the basis for the existence value of this selection.Second,the current status of domestic and foreign research is organized,and the valuable research results of the academic community provide a rich theoretical source for this paper.Secondly,the relevant concepts are defined,including the connotation of life,the connotation of life education,and the concept of integrated curriculum,and the embedding theory of life education into curriculum teaching and other related theories are highlighted to provide theoretical support for problem identification and solution in the following.Subsequently,the theoretical basis of life education and the necessity of integrating it into the teaching of morality and rule of law curriculum are discussed.Third,through the collation of the questionnaires and interviews distributed in the early stage,we understand the current situation of poor integration and bad integration of life education in front-line teaching and attribute the causes from subjective and objective to the above problems.Fourth,we used Nvivo12 as a qualitative research tool under the guidance of rooted theory to codify and analyze the current textbooks and teachers’ books on Ethics and Rule of Law in junior high school,find the core categories and finally construct a theoretical model,so as to clarify the logic of the arrangement of life education elements in the textbooks,and corroborate with the results of the questionnaire survey to support the generation of countermeasures.Fifth,according to the causes of the problems,the principles of integrating life education into curriculum teaching are proposed in the light of the front-line teaching practice of middle school morality and rule of law curriculum.Countermeasures to promote the integration of life education are proposed in three aspects:teachers,teaching effectiveness,and students,respectively,to provide certain theoretical guidance for improving the effectiveness of life education.
