The Ministry of Education emphasizes in the “Physics Curriculum Standards for Senior High Schools(2017 edition revised in 2020)” that physics,as a fundamental course in natural sciences,focuses on experimental teaching,requires students to participate in the process of practical exploration,learn scientific knowledge and experimental inquiry methods,and clarifies the important position of experiments in senior high school physics teaching.In the physics experimental teaching at the senior high school stage,there are problems such as the neglect of the importance of experiments,poor teaching effectiveness,and low classroom collaboration efficiency.Therefore,it is necessary to explore ways to improve experimental teaching methods in order to enhance the effectiveness and quality of physics experimental teaching.In order to address the problems in experimental teaching,the author plans to conduct research on virtual experimental teaching practices in high school classrooms under the guidance of general concepts.The aim is to provide a possible solution to improve the current state of experimental teaching and enhance teaching effectiveness.Firstly,the author conducted a literature review to investigate the relevant research literatures on big concept teaching and virtual experiment teaching at home and abroad,clarified the current research status,and explained the core concepts and related theories.Furthermore,the author investigated the current status of experimental teaching and the attitudes of teachers and students towards virtual experiments by conducting and distributing student surveys and conducting interviews with teachers.Additionally,the author gained further understanding and analysis of the current situation through classroom observations,attributed the existing problems,and proposed corresponding teaching suggestions based on the analysis.Finally,the author proposed teaching strategies through the analysis of course contents,and wrote a virtual experimental teaching design under the guidance of the big concept,using the “several common magnetic fields”,“force on a current-carrying wire in a magnetic field”,and “motion of charged particles in a uniform magnetic field”as examples.The author also conducted practical teaching research on the “several common magnetic fields”.After the practice,the author evaluated the effectiveness of the practical teaching based on classroom observations and post-teaching interviews with teachers and students.Research results show that virtual experimental teaching under the guidance of big concepts is feasible in senior high school physics classrooms;compared to traditional experimental teaching,virtual experimental teaching under the guidance of big concepts has demonstrated certain advantages in the magnetic field module of senior high school physics;this teaching method can improve the deficiencies existing in the traditional experimental teaching to a certain extent,and improve the efficiency and effect of classroom teaching.This thesis has certain reference significance for the research on senior high school physics experimental teaching.
