Core quality is the key ability to adapt to personal development and social development,including knowledge,skills,emotions,attitudes and other dimensions,is the fundamental direction of student development,is also the eternal pursuit of higher education talent training.Improving the core quality of undergraduates is not only conducive to the all-round development of students and the sustainable development of society,but also the key point to promote quality education,which points out the direction for deepening the reform of higher education and realizing the high-quality development of higher education.This paper studies the core literacy of undergraduates.First of all,by combing literature,grasping research trends and trends,clarifying relevant concepts of core literacy,clarifying student development,new human capital,humanistic education and other theories and their guiding significance,laying a theoretical foundation for subsequent analysis.Secondly,based on theoretical analysis,empirical research is carried out,field interviews and questionnaires are conducted among experts in universities and colleges,as well as relevant personnel in different fields such as government and enterprises,to analyze the components of undergraduates’ core literacy,select relevant indicators that can reflect the development of undergraduates’ core literacy,and construct an evaluation index system of undergraduates’ core literacy.Among them,primary indicators include health literacy,knowledge reserve,self-development,interpersonal interaction and civic literacy.Based on this,a questionnaire was designed and the status quo of the development of undergraduates’ core literacy was investigated.On the basis of data collation and reliability and validity analysis,the overall fuzzy comprehensive evaluation,difference evaluation and other methods were used to make an empirical analysis of the development status of undergraduates’ core literacy.Finally,based on the conclusion of evaluation and analysis,the author puts forward some suggestions on how to improve the development of undergraduates’ core literacy.The study found that,first,overall,the development level of undergraduates’ core literacy is in the middle;Second,there are many shortcomings in the development of undergraduates’ core literacy,which need to be further improved in aspects of health literacy,knowledge reserve,independent development and communication with people.Thirdly,there are significant differences in the development of undergraduates’ core literacy in terms of gender and political status.Fourth,the development level of undergraduates’ core literacy is positively correlated with age and grade.Fifth,the development level of undergraduates’ core literacy is affected by family capital.Based on the above research results,this paper focuses on core literacy and puts forward relevant countermeasures and suggestions to improve the development level of undergraduates’ core literacy from different perspectives such as students,universities and evaluation system.First,to improve the self-development ability of undergraduates,focusing on improving learning ability,strengthening self-management and cultivating innovation ability;Second,build a high-quality talent training system,focusing on updating the teaching concept,strengthening the construction of teachers,and enriching the classroom connotation;Third,improve the evaluation system of undergraduates’ core literacy,focusing on enriching the evaluation content of undergraduates’ core literacy,optimizing the evaluation method of undergraduates’ core literacy,and establishing the evaluation mechanism of undergraduates’ core literacy;In order to effectively improve the development level of undergraduates’ core literacy,promote the high-quality development of higher education.
