The reform of college entrance examination was launched in Guizhou Province in the autumn semester of 2021,that is,starting from the autumn semester of 2021,senior one students would use the 2019 edited high school mathematics textbooks,which are compiled under the guidance of Curriculum Standards for Ordinary High School Mathematics(2017 Edition).The 2019 edition of the high school mathematics textbook continues the reading materials as the old edition and other columns,but they are more abundant than those of the 2004 edition.At the same time,the New Curriculum Standard pays attention to the infiltration of mathematics culture,the deep integration of information technology and mathematics curriculum,and constantly leads students to feel the science,application,culture and aesthetic value of mathematics.All these can be realized by choosing the reading materials in the new edited textbooks as the teaching carrier.Since the reading materials are not the content of textbooks,they are often ignored by teachers and students in class,and their use situations are not optimistic,which lead their education and teaching function not to be fully played role in.Therefore,through knowing the arrangement and setting of reading materials in mathematics textbooks and the current situation of using reading materials in mathematics classrooms,in this paper,we explore to formulate teaching strategies for how to teach the reading materials in high school mathematics classrooms,and which would provide the guidance for reading materials teaching in high school.The core issue of this research is to carry out the teaching research on how to apply reading materials in high school mathematics classroom.The key problem of the research is subdivided into four sub-problems:Sub-problem 1: text research of reading materials in new high school mathematics textbooks;Sub-problem 2: Investigation and research on the use of reading materials in high school mathematics classroom;Sub-problem 3: Research on teaching strategies of reading material application in high school mathematics classroom;Sub-problem 4:Teaching experiment research on the application of reading materials in high school mathematics classroom.To solve the problems above,the research methods used in this study mainly include literature research,content analysis,investigation and experimental research.The research tools used mainly include the questionnaire about high school students’ learning and use of reading materials in textbooks,the outline of teacher interview about the application of reading materials in high school mathematics classes,and the test papers(A and B)of high school students’ mathematics application ability and mathematical inquiry ability under the direction of reading materials.There are eight chapters in this study,which are mainly divided into four parts.The first part is the theoretical basis of the research,which is mainly composed of the first chapter and the second chapter.The first chapter introduces the research background,research problems and research significance of the paper.The second chapter titled literature review includes the definition of core concepts and research status at home and abroad.The second part is the third chapter named by research design,including the theoretical basis,research objects,research methods,research tools.The third part is the main body of the research,which is mainly composed of the fourth,fifth,sixth and seventh chapter,among which the fourth chapter is about text research on reading materials in the new textbooks of high school mathematics,the fifth chapter is headed by investigation and research on the use of reading materials in high school mathematics classroom,and the sixth chapter is teaching strategy research on the application of reading materials in high school mathematics classroom.Chapter seven is the teaching experiment research of high school mathematics classroom application reading materials.The fourth part is only composed of the eighth chapter with the content about main research conclusions and inspirations,which further condensed the research results of the fourth,fifth,sixth and seventh chapter,and elaborated the highlights,deficiencies and prospects of the research.The main results of this research include the following:First,all textbooks pay enough attention to the content and organizational dimension of reading materials.From the perspective of content,the reading materials in each edition of textbooks are widely distributed in topics and rich in categories of reading materials.However,the amount of different categories of reading materials in each edition of textbooks is different,which reflects the importance attached to different categories of reading materials in each edition of textbooks,and the reading materials in each edition of textbooks are closely related to the text content of textbooks.From the perspective of organization,the compilation and presentation of reading materials in the four editions have their own characteristics.Some textbooks focus on narration,while the others focus on exploration and operation.Therefore,the content and organization of the reading materials are emphasized in each edition.Secondly,the situation of teachers and students learning and using the reading materials in mathematics textbooks needs to be improved.Through the investigation,it is found that from the perspective of students,although most of the students have a correct attitude towards the reading materials in the textbook and recognize the status of the reading materials,but they do not carry out in-depth study of the reading materials.From the perspective of teachers,front-line teachers do not pay enough attention to reading materials in textbooks,and their understanding of the writing intention of reading materials in textbooks needs to be improved.There is a problem that teachers seldom or can not use reading materials.Therefore,their attitude towards and use of reading materials should be further changed.To sum up,the current situation of teachers and students’ for learning and using reading materials in textbooks needs to be improved.Thirdly,current high school students need to improve their mathematics learning emotion,mathematics application ability and inquiry ability.According to the analysis of the survey results and the pretest results of teaching experiment,it show that the emotion of mathematics learning,mathematics application ability and inquiry ability of high school students under the direction of reading materials need to be further cultivated.In essence,under the influence of exam-oriented education,most front-line teachers and students ignore the reading materials in math textbooks,and in the long run,they ignore the cultivation of students’ math learning emotion and math ability.Therefore,front-line teachers and students should change their teaching and learning methods,make full use of the reading materials in mathematics textbooks to cultivate math learning emotion and improve math ability.Fourthly,formulating appropriate teaching strategies can promote students’ emotional transformation and ability development in mathematics learning.Based on literature review and investigation,this paper puts forward the teaching strategy of applying reading materials in high school mathematics classroom,and tests the effectiveness and feasibility of the teaching strategy by carrying out teaching experiment research.The results show that the teaching strategy is effective and feasible,which further indicates that the proposed teaching strategy is conducive to the emotional transformation of students’ mathematics learning and the development of students’ mathematical application ability and mathematical inquiry ability.Therefore,formulating appropriate teaching strategies to apply reading materials in high school mathematics classroom can promote students’ emotional transformation and ability development in mathematics learning.The innovation of this study lies in the following: first,it explores the necessity and reality of the implementation of the reading material in mathematics classroom from the perspectives of textbook text,investigation between teachers and students,and experimental research(It reflects the novelty of research methods and perspectives).Secondly,based on the value of different kinds of reading materials in mathematics textbooks,the teaching strategies of applying reading materials in different types of high school mathematics lessons are put forward(It reflects the richness of the research content).Thirdly,the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed teaching strategies are verified by carrying out phased teaching experiment research,and the combination between theory and practice is achieved(It reflects the novelty and authenticity of the research conclusion).
