Design And Development Of “Introductory Machine Learning” Teaching Assistant Platform For Primary School Students

With the increasing demand for artificial intelligence talents,artificial intelligence education has also received extensive attention.Artificial intelligence is gradually entering the stage of compulsory education.At present,artificial intelligence courses in primary schools are mainly based on basic knowledge and programming education.Machine learning is the core of artificial intelligence,but because of abstract and complex conceptual knowledge and high technical threshold,it is less involved in elementary school.In order to explore whether machine learning can be applied to primary school learning,this study designs the course "Introduction to Machine Learning" and develops the MLPlatform machine learning teaching assistance platform,which introduces the basic knowledge of machine learning into primary school,provides visual interactive tools to help students understand machine learning,and then promotes the expansion of artificial intelligence education in primary school.This research work is mainly divided into the following points:(1)Through the analysis of the current situation of artificial intelligence education in primary and secondary schools at home and abroad,the machine learning content in artificial intelligence textbooks for primary and secondary schools,and the artificial intelligence assistance platform for primary and secondary schools.Discuss the feasibility of adding introductory knowledge of machine learning to artificial intelligence courses in primary schools,and the need for teaching assistance platform in introductory machine learning courses.(2)Design the course "Introduction to Machine Learning" according to the cognitive characteristics of the teaching objects.The MLPlatform machine learning teaching assistance platform for primary school students is based on the course learning content,using the Python Flask Web framework,combined with the MDL front-end framework and Echarts and other front-end visualization technologies,and using the My SQL database.The platform is a visual interactive tool for students to provide basic concepts of machine learning.It is used to promote students’ mastery of machine learning introductory knowledge and reduce students’ cognitive load.(3)Select students from two classes of Shanghai A School as the research objects,use the teaching aid platform in the classroom,conduct the teaching of "Introduction to Machine Learning" course,analyze and verify the effectiveness of the machine learning teaching aid platform.With the support of the MLPlatform machine learning teaching aid platform,the "Introduction to Machine Learning" course designed in this paper introduces machine learning content into the primary school stage.Combined with the use of visual interactive tools in the platform,it promotes primary school students’ understanding of basic machine learning knowledge and reduces the Cognitive load,provides a practical reference for the development of artificial intelligence teaching in the compulsory education stage.
