| Knowledge structuring is the critical assistant for students’ studying which from knowledge to core competences.The foundation of organic chemistry is a new area in high school education.Complex network theory is widely used in the study of large-scale complex relational systems,and studying in many areas based on complex network theory has the advantages of large-scale analysis,intuitive representation of knowledge structure,and quantitative analysis of parameters.Its application in the study of textbook knowledge structure has a good prospect.This study defines knowledge points and their associations.Taking the Fundamentals of Organic Chemistry Jiangsu Education edition as the research object,After using matrices to record the knowledge structure of the textbook,then statistically draws a textbook knowledge network consisting of 212 knowledge nodes and 480 association edges,as well as six knowledge units.Combining the parameter values and distributions of nodes,edges,and network,it reveals the role and status of knowledge points within the textbook or units,defines the core degree calculation method,and finds core knowledge points.It explores the knowledge structure characteristics of each units as well as knowledge association clues between topics.The research results show that:(1)Knowledge points are closely related in the knowledge structure of textbooks,which is reflected in the fact that knowledge points are related in many different ways and through multiple clues;(2)The core knowledge points are excavated through the core degree numerical calculation,and it is found that the core knowledge points have a prominent position in the knowledge structure of the textbook,and the distribution and arrangement of the core knowledge points are reasonable,which can be divided into three types: inner core type,extended type and dominant type,among which the core knowledge of the dominant type is the highest;(3)The distribution of parameters and centrality values of the six thematic knowledge networks is different,and each has its own characteristics.The thematic knowledge structure presents plate type,chain type and cluster type respectively.(4)Combined with node parameters,it is found that different knowledge among different topics is closely related mainly from three perspectives:functional groups,important application of organic chemistry and green chemistry;(5)Based on complex network theory,combined with network image and parameter analysis,it can quickly and objectively discover the knowledge structure and characteristics of textbooks from the perspective of knowledge points and knowledge points correlation.According to the research conclusions,the research enlightenment:(1)For teachers,they should fully understand the knowledge structure of each topic and simultaneously grasp the status of the topic knowledge in the whole textbook;(2)For the compilation of textbooks,strengthen knowledge correlation to optimize knowledge structure,and highlight the role and status of knowledge points throughout textbooks;(3)For theoretical research,in-depth analysis and improvement of research methods based on complex network theory will provide a modern research paradigm for textbook research. |
