High school biology new curriculum release lead the high school biology education into the era of core literacy,in this education background,this study adopts the literature reading method,questionnaire survey and content analysis method,aims to prove whether the explicit teaching of the nature of science can be integrated into the core literacy-oriented biology teaching,and to help students understand the nature of science in the new curriculum standard.On the basis of combing through the relevant concepts,three classes of a high school in Guangzhou were selected as the research objects,combined with the relevant content of the nature of science in the new curriculum standard and the textbook of high school biology,the high school biology teaching reflecting the nature of science is designed,then a 2-month teaching practice study on the nature of science in the high school biology course was carried out in two classes with the same understanding level of the nature of science.The study results show that:(1)Through structured text analysis,Core literacy in biology corresponds to the nature of science.The relationship connection diagram presented by the two helps teachers to integrate the content of different dimensions of the nature of science into the teaching objectives oriented by core literacy when implementing the education in the nature of science;(2)As can be seen from the results of the nature of science questionnaire,Grade school students in this study have a shallow understanding of the nature of science,Among them,the understanding of the laws and theory dimensions of the nature of science presents a low level;(3)Sorting the teaching design process reflecting the nature of science education in science classroom,The science classroom design integrating the nature of science can include the following steps:(1)With the help of the nature of science questionnaire to reveal students’ understanding of the essence of science;(2)To excavate the nature of science contained in the history of science or scientific inquiry activities in subject textbooks;(3)Combine the teaching objectives reflected by the core literacy with the nature of science;(4)In the teaching process,the dimension of the nature of science of the teaching content needs to be highlighted through the explicit discourse;(5)Design reflective questions and evaluative assignments on the nature of science mentioned in this class.(4)After teaching practice,the experimental class students’ understanding of the nature of science was significantly improved(p=0.000 <0.05),while the control class students’ understanding of the nature of science was not obvious(p=0.697> 0.05),and the level of understanding of the nature of science was very significantly different between the experimental class and the control class(p=0.000 <0.05).The research results can preliminary show that integrating the explicit teaching of the nature of science into the core literacy-oriented biology teaching can help students to further understand the nature of science.At the present stage,the teaching method of the nature of science is not perfect,teachers should consciously cultivate students’ understanding of the nature of science,design the teaching method of the nature of science in line with their own teaching style,so as to complete the important educational task of cultivating innovative talents with core literacy.
