Poetry is an indispensable part of high school Chinese teaching.Among them,foreign poetry shows its unique artistic value and aesthetic education value by virtue of its beautiful language expression,moving rhythm,unique image selection,strong thought expression and diverse creation styles.Reading and learning foreign poetry can help students improve their language appreciation,cultivate comparative thinking,broaden their cultural horizon and enrich their aesthetic cognition.Due to the small number of foreign poetry in the unified edition of Chinese textbooks,coupled with the complexity of language and creation background,many teachers do not realize the importance of its teaching and ignore the teaching of foreign poetry in high school classrooms,and its teaching status is not ideal.At the same time,students are faced with problems such as low interest in learning,lack of aesthetic quality,and can not perceive the unique cultural features and spiritual qualities in foreign poetry.Therefore,how to integrate the core quality of Chinese into the teaching of foreign poetry and put forward targeted teaching strategies is an urgent problem to be solved.This paper consists of four parts.In the introduction part,it focuses on the research background,purpose and significance of this paper.After sorting out the previous research achievements in the teaching of foreign poetry,it introduces the research methods and innovations adopted in this study.The first part mainly discusses the related concepts of foreign poetry.Firstly,it introduces the definition,classification and characteristics of foreign poetry,and then summarizes and generalizes the characteristics of the selected texts and compilations of foreign poetry in the textbooks.Finally,it analyzes the value of the teaching level and closely connects the curriculum standard with the teaching of foreign poetry.In the second part,based on the specific teaching situation,through the questionnaire survey between teachers and students,the problems existing in the actual teaching level are clarified,and the causes of the problems are deeply analyzed from the aspects of teachers,students,teaching content and teaching methods.The third part starts from the four aspects of Chinese core literacy,based on "language construction and application","thinking development and improvement","cultural inheritance and understanding","aesthetic appreciation and creation",in-depth interpretation of foreign poetry works in high school textbooks.It is hoped that the deficiencies in the teaching of foreign poetry in high school Chinese can be found through the actual classroom investigation,and then the constructive and operational teaching strategies can be put forward to provide some references for the actual teaching and improve the students’ quality of foreign poetry.
