The main goal of this study was to examine how the School Improvement Program(SIP)was being implemented in the government secondary schools of Ginir Town, with a focus on proper implementation, and to identify a solution to guarantee the SIP’s success in those schools.A mixed research approach that makes use of both quantitative and qualitative data was used to accomplish this goal. Two secondary schools in East Bale Zone,Ginir Town Administration, served as the study’s locations. Both random and availability sampling were utilized as sample methods.Every principal, every teacher who was able and willing to participate in the student’s SCS,and the head of the Town Office had been included for the study. The results showed that there was a serious lack of awareness among the stakeholders,a lack of funding and resources that hindered the program’s implementation,a lack of teamwork,a lack of self-evaluation,and opposition to the program among teachers. The data analysis produced the following findings: the stakeholders’ involvement in the development and implementation of the program was minimal, and the schools’ efforts to raise awareness were only partially successful. In terms of challenges, the program was limited by the resistance of the instructors to the idea, funding restrictions,a shortage of resources,a lack of cooperation among stakeholders, and a lack of self-evaluation.The main recommendations were to improve student behaviour, eliminate political bias from schools, persuade and inspire teachers, and provide financial and material support.
