‘From the Soil’and‘the Analects of Confucius’ are the key books in the learning task group of "Reading and studying the whole book",both of which are closely related to the training goal of "cultural literacy".However, only a few researchers pay attention to the intertextuality between the two texts, and do not realize the relationship between this phenomenon and the general change of traditional culture.Based on literature research and case analysis, the study combs the process, relationship and special phenomenon of the intertextuality of the two books, analyzes the correspondence of the two texts in values, discourse system and thinking mode, and discusses the transformation of the classic text from the perspective of the comparison between China and the West and the discourse method of modern social science. It is believed that intertextuality not only reflects the echo of ideas and practices between elite intellectuals and the general public, but also reflects the stability of culture from the perspective of history.Based on the above analysis, the study discusses the possible cross-text reading strategies and modes of traditional classical texts and modern interpretive works under the guidance of cultural understanding:The three important characteristics of traditional culture,"non-formal language","holistic thinking" and "inward orientation",are not only clearly reflected in classic texts such as the Analects of Confucius, but also influence the perception of writers such as Fei Xiaotong and contemporary readers. Therefore, the basic consciousness of cross-text reading is "readers and two texts coexist in the same cultural system",and the key strategy is the constant adjustment of reading "viewpoint" and "distance".In the initial stage of mutual reading, the conclusion of reading and interpreting the text and their own judgment should be taken from the perspective of observation and suspension, and from the local perspective of the text, using the mutual interpretation within and between the texts to grasp the factual information, and then giving full play to the role of intuition to complete the meeting with the life experience of the text author, and with the help of the wording and terminology of another text to anchor this kind of intentional experience. Finally,In order to fairly understand the unique characteristics and value of our own culture, readers can take "contemporary culture" and "Western culture" as two kinds of heterogeneous materials. In the reading guide, one text can be used as the subject and the other as the reading aid.Through repeated reference, students can cultivate their awareness and habit of divergent thinking in daily reading.Teachers can also organize their reading and life experience in the form of thematic reading to suggest the methods, strategies and resources that students can use in such research reading.Regardless of the form, students not only need to mobilize rational thinking such as analysis and synthesis but emotional thinking such as association, intuition and empathy, and repeatedly adjust the angle and distance of reading.
