Since the Industrial Revolution, the agglomeration effect brought about by the high degree of specialization and division of labor in industries has continuously led to the concentration of population, resources, and other factors in cities. It has led to the rapid expansion of the city’s scale, showing a clear trend of "outward spatial expansion, internal spatial reorganization" in urban morphology. In this process, the population, employment, service and other functions of the urban core area migrate outward, and the internal and external connections of the city are strengthened; The expansion of peripheral areas also produces secondary centers such as commercial centers and industrial centers to provide corresponding urban functions. The formation and development of urban functions promote the transfer and concentration of population, and in turn, reshape the urban functional distribution. As an expression of the spatial distribution of urban functions,productionliving-ecological space is an important carrier of human spatial activities. The contradiction between urban functional construction and population spatial distribution will affect the quality of urbanization development and the overall situation of sustainable development. Therefore, how to achieve the coordinated development of production-living-ecological space and population distribution, and alleviate the contradiction between people and land,is a problem that needs urgent consideration and solution. This research studies the relevant theories and contents of production-living-ecological space and coupling coordination, defines the connotation and content of production-living-ecological space identification and coupling coordination with population distribution, and establishes the main research methods and ideas; On this basis,we use mobile signal data to downscale the data of the seventh population census in Shanghai, and obtain the spatial distribution pattern of Shanghai population by age;Secondly, construct a comprehensive index system of production-livingecological space, and determine the index weight using AHP;Using POI data to identify and verify the production-living-ecological space in Shanghai, then using KDE and triangular models to analyze to analyze the production-living-ecological space’s distribution; Finally,a coupling coordination pattern is introduced to evaluate the degree of coupling coordination between Shanghai’s production-living-ecological space and population distribution, and spatial autocorrelation methods are used to analyze the spatial distribution characteristics. The research shows that:(1)The spatial distribution of population in Shanghai is still a typical single center circle structure, showing a decreasing trend from "central urban area – suburbs-outer suburbs".The central urban area has basically formed a contiguous population aggregation area, while there are local population density high value areas connected to the central urban area in the inner suburbs, while the population in the outer suburbs presents discrete point aggregation. On the whole, however, the polycentric trend of population distribution in Shanghai is not obvious.(2)The distribution of production-living-ecological space in Shanghai has the characteristics of block-point combination,"production surrounding life",and internal and external surrounding. The living space is mainly distributed in the area within the outer ring, distributed in a sheet shape inwardly and clustered in a dot shape outwardly; The distribution of production space is relatively extensive, mainly concentrated in the suburbs, especially in the northwest corner of Jiading, and based on the industrial structure in Shanghai,it shows obvious hierarchical characteristics.(3)Taking the transportation loop as a division, the spatial structure of Shanghai’s productionliving-ecological function shows a significant center periphery spatial structure as the loop changes. In the process of transition from urban to suburban areas,in terms of quantity and structure, the production-living-ecological space has undergone a transition from "living space oriented" to "production space oriented";In terms of functional structure, the production-living-ecological space exhibits the characteristics of "urban comprehensive center-living function-production function-discrete multi center".(4)The coupling type between the production-living-ecological space and population distribution presents a spatial characteristic of "high central coupling and low peripheral coupling".The high coupling areas in the central urban area and its surrounding areas are mostly characterized by "high level high coupling",while the medium and low level high coupling areas are mainly distributed in the suburbs. Most low coupling areas show that the level of urban functional construction exceeds the size of the permanent population, and there is a problem of "advanced construction".Only a few low coupling areas in the urban core area show that the level of urban functional construction is lower than the size of the population.(5)At the street&town scale,68% of the coupling and coordination patterns in Shanghai are highly coupled and well coordinated, distributed in the main urban area and surrounding areas. The coupling and coordination patterns in suburbs, especially in the outer suburbs, are generally characterized by high coupling and moderate coordination, high coupling and good coordination, and high coupling and moderate coordination. On the whole, the production-living-ecological space and population distribution in Shanghai are developing in a direction of mutual promotion and coordinated development. Finally, this study also provides suggestions for the layout of Shanghai’s the production-livingecological space and the spatial distribution of its population: optimizing the spatial structure of Shanghai’s industry, promoting the introduction of people through industry, and retaining people through cities, thereby promoting the development of urban polycentricity;Make overall planning for the rational layout of urban functional areas, adhere to the dual pronged approach of "improving the functional level of urban areas" and "making up for the shortcomings of suburban functions",and orderly improve the urban functional construction of Shanghai. |
