A Study On The Layout Of University Sports Venues From The Perspective Of Main Functional Zones

The article discusses the layout of sports venues in ten universities of Guangzhou Higher Education Mega Center based on the perspective of the main functional zone.The research methods used include literature review,field investigation,geographic information system(Arc GIS)spatial analysis,questionnaire survey,and mathematical statistics.The study explores the concept of sports main functional zones,investigates the actual needs of teachers and students in Guangzhou HEMC for sports venues,analyzes the quantity,types,spatial distribution,and layout rationality of sports venues in each university,and finally evaluates the current status of the layout of sports venues in each university in Guangzhou HEMC.The aim is to improve the efficiency and service quality of sports venues in each university in Guangzhou HEMC and meet the normal sports and teaching needs of teachers and students.The research conclusions are as follows:I.The sports main functional zone is a spatial unit that uses sports as a carrier and aims to provide sports products and services.It belongs to a special type of main functional zone,in which various sports product and service units cooperate and develop together.II.Overall,the layout of the gymnasiums of colleges and universities in Guangzhou HEMC presents the characteristics of agglomeration of gymnasiums around the comprehensive gymnasium,but the degree of agglomeration varies.The gymnasiums of universities in Guangzhou HEMC are distributed in two modes: scattered distribution and random distribution.The unbalanced distribution of gymnasiums in some universities results in low utilization rate of gymnasiums.The scientific rationality of the layout of sports venues in some colleges and universities is somewhat lacking,which seriously deviates from the living area of teachers and students,and the actual benefits are low,resulting in a waste of venue resources.The road network configuration near different college stadiums is different.The road network around some college stadiums is relatively simple,and there are problems in the daily actual use of the venues.Moreover,the total number and types of sports venues in colleges and universities are not very rich,which cannot fully meet the sports needs of teachers and students.This article proposes the following two suggestions:I.For schools where the living area of teachers and students in the school is seriously deviated from the distribution area of sports venues,and the carrying capacity of the campus land resources is insufficient,and the school does not have the conditions to expand and optimize the facilities of large-scale venues in the future,it may be considered to follow the analysis diagram of the buffer zone of the school traffic network around the living area of the campus,In the blank areas of the school’s sports venues,fitness paths and table tennis tables and other relatively light and easy-to-build sports facilities are arranged to meet the sports-related needs of teachers and students.II.According to the equipment standards of the Ministry of Education,each university needs to further improve the quantity and quality of sports venue facilities,especially outdoor sports venue facilities,to meet the wider sports and teaching needs of teachers and students.On the other hand,it is necessary to start from the perspective of the main functional area,scientifically and rationally plan and utilize the idle site resources on the campus to avoid waste of resources,and the protection of the natural environment of the campus should be taken into consideration during planning.
