Since the reform and opening up,my country’s economy and society have begun a rapid transformation.A large number of rural laborers have migrated to cities, and rural left-behind children have become a social fact.As a class of vulnerable groups, rural left-behind children have long been isolated from their parents’ space and lack the emotional concern of their parents, making it difficult to obtain normal education and care from the family system. In the case of insufficient functioning of the family system and lack of resources, they are often more likely to feel lonely at the psychological level, and then show the characteristics of alienation in behavior. Therefore, from the perspective of social work practice,it is of great practical significance to explore specific measures to alleviate the loneliness of rural leftbehind children for promoting their healthy growth and realizing their all-around development. At present, the problem of alleviating loneliness among left-behind children in rural areas has been studied more from the perspective of pedagogy or psychology, while the relevant research on solving this problem through social work practice is relatively scarce. Therefore, based on the current situation of loneliness among left-behind children in village F,this study tries to use the group work method, under the guidance of the theory of empowerment and social support,to carry out the loneliness relief service for left-behind children in the village F,and to find out which practical model can effectively alleviate the loneliness of left-behind children in rural areas. The study used the "Children’s Loneliness Scale" as a measurement tool to investigate the loneliness of 60 left-behind and non-left-behind children in village F.The survey results show that the degree of loneliness of left-behind children in village F is much higher than that of non-left-behind children.Further research found that the absence of emotional support, family system function, and peer support is closely related to the loneliness of left-behind children in F village. On this basis, social workers conducted an accurate assessment of the problems and needs of the left-behind children in Village F and conducted six group activities on 10 left-behind children in Village F in terms of emotional support, interpersonal skills, family system support, and peer group support. Finally,it was found that the group work involved in the relief of loneliness among left-behind children in rural areas had a certain positive effect.Based on this, this paper extracts the practical model of group work intervention in rural left-behind children’s loneliness relief and builds a group work service model with the basic framework of intervention concept, intervention resources, intervention system, and service maintenance mechanism.
