With the implementation of the new curriculum reform,the core quality has become the direction of each teacher’s teaching."Reading and thinking",as a part of the textbook,contains the core quality of mathematics.This study combines the connotation of literacy with the theory of education,and mainly solves the following questions:(1)What are the functional values of "reading and thinking" in high school under the guidance of core mathematical literacy?(2)How to teach "reading and thinking" in high school under the guidance of mathematics core literacy?(3)What influence does the teaching of "Reading and thinking" have on the formation of high school students’ mathematics core literacy?Combined with curriculum standards,this paper defines the connotation of core literacy and analyzes the functional value of "reading and thinking".Questionnaire and interview are adopted to understand the teaching and learning status of teachers and students in "reading and thinking".According to the survey results and functional evaluation,the teaching case of "Reading and thinking" is designed based on Freidenthal’s mathematics education theory and Gardner’s multiple intelligence theory.Taking "The Invention of Logarithms" as an example,"Reading and thinking" is applied to the real classroom for teaching experiment,and the results are analyzed to reach the following conclusions:1."Reading and thinking" can promote students to form scientific and applied values,educational values and cultural values of mathematics;Promote students to develop innovative consciousness,self-improvement,rigorous and realistic and independent thinking quality;Promote students to improve their reading ability,expression ability and thinking ability.2.Teachers and students’ evaluation of "reading and thinking" is generally positive,but students’ experience of questioning,exploring and innovating scientific spirit in "reading and thinking" is still insufficient.The teaching of "reading and thinking" should follow the principle of diversity,gradualism and cultivating humanity.3.The class of "Reading and thinking" is highly active,and the students have a good learning attitude.The students basically agree that they have been improved in the core quality of mathematics,and they have gained more in the aspects of "emotional attitude and values" than in the aspects of "essential character" and "key ability".Finally,this paper puts forward some teaching suggestions on how to cultivate students’ mathematics core literacy by using the column of "Reading and thinking" in high school mathematics textbooks.
