The college student community is a community of educational and life growth for students based on their shared living areas,with the goal of serving their growth and development beyond classroom learning,and connected by common values.Implementing community governance for college students is a practical measure to implement the spirit of the relevant documents of the country on accelerating the construction of the ideological and political work system in universities.It is a positive exploration and beneficial attempt to cultivate students in universities by closely focusing on the fundamental task of cultivating morality and cultivating talents in universities.As the main body of student communities,student community governance work should be student-centered and centered around students’ development.To solidly promote the governance of university student communities,we should always adhere to the student-centered approach,taking the expected results obtained by students through governance as the goal and starting point to design the content and implementation process of university student community governance.During the implementation process,we should continuously reflect and improve according to the needs of students,in order to improve the level of university student community governance and better leverage the effectiveness of university student community services for students’ growth and success.From the perspective of student-centered,this paper takes college student community as the research object,three colleges and universities in G province as the research samples,governance theory,Maslow’s Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory as the theoretical basis,and uses the literature research method and survey research method to conduct an investigative study on college student community governance.By analyzing relevant texts,the main components of university student community governance include governance goals and positioning,governance institutions and personnel,governance content and methods,governance systems and mechanisms,governance significance and effectiveness.A survey was conducted on three universities in G Province based on the five constituent elements of community governance for university students.The survey mainly examined students’ feelings and evaluations of community governance for university students based on the basic situation of the survey subjects,and explored the differences in the effectiveness evaluation of community governance for university students in terms of inter school,gender,grade,and professional category,in order to deeply analyze the current situation of community governance for university students.Through analyzing the current situation,it is found that there are some problems in the governance process of university student communities,mainly manifested as the growth confusion of students in governance has not been effectively solved,the growth guidance received by students in governance is not comprehensive and sufficient,the development needs of students in governance have not been well met,the development efficiency of students in governance has not been effectively stimulated,and the development status of students in governance has not been clearly highlighted.In response to the above issues,the reasons for the problems are analyzed as follows: firstly,it is difficult to implement the governance goals and positioning;secondly,there is a lack of effective linkage between governance institutions and personnel;thirdly,the governance content and methods are not scientific and precise enough;fourthly,the governance system and mechanism are not yet sound and perfect;fifthly,there is a lack of high attention to the meaning and effectiveness of governance.Finally,based on the current problems,strategies for optimizing the governance of university student communities were proposed from a student-centered perspective.The core significance of governance should be based on solving students’ growth difficulties.By increasing the intensity of ideological and political education for college students,building a social system of peer assistance,and breaking regional restrictions on students’ personality development,we can effectively solve various problems encountered by students in their growth and development,thereby promoting the formation of an educational pattern.The second is that the governance body should aim to strengthen guidance for student growth.By refining the guidance rights and responsibilities of governance institutions,strengthening the guidance and training of administrators,and enhancing the linkage and guidance of multiple entities,we can consolidate the joint efforts of the same direction and peers in education.The third is that the governance goal should be guided by meeting the development needs of students.By creating favorable material environment conditions,meeting students’ spiritual needs for self realization,and creating a rich cultural atmosphere,we aim to meet students’ material,spiritual,and cultural needs.Fourthly,the governance content should focus on improving the effectiveness of student development.By formulating comprehensive governance content for students’ development,creating efficient and smooth governance methods,and meeting the governance expectations of students’ shared development,we aim to provide a continuous source of vitality for students’ development.The fifth is that the governance mechanism needs to prioritize the development status of students.By developing an open and transparent education system,improving the mechanism for student participation in governance,and building a student evaluation and feedback platform,we can fully leverage the role of students as the main body.
