In recent years,the basic concepts of chemistry cultivated in teaching have been paid attention to by the majority of educators,and the theoretical and practical research related to the basic concepts of chemistry has become increasingly rich.However,there is a relative lack of theoretical and practical research on chemical classification,especially the evaluation of chemical classification,which is of great significance for the teaching of chemical classification construction and related theoretical research.In this study,we will first carry out theoretical research on the concept of chemical classification.In order to deeply analyze the connotation of chemical classification,on the basis of literature review,the connotation of basic concepts such as "classification","chemical classification" and "chemical classification" is analyzed,and it is believed that the chemical classification concept refers to the basic idea of the belonging of thousands of substances in nature formed by middle school students on the basis of understanding the composition,structure and properties of common substances,which is usually manifested as students’ thinking tendency to consciously classify substances systematically according to the composition,structure,properties and other cognitive standards of substances.Then,on this basis,the content standards of substance classification in the middle school chemistry curriculum standards and the division of chemistry core literacy levels in the curriculum standards are analyzed,and the chemical classification concept of high school students is divided into three levels: classification of substances according to the composition of substances,classification of substances according to the microstructure of substances,and understanding of various substances according to the relationship between the composition,structure and properties of substances,and explains the specific behavior of the corresponding students at each level.On the basis of theoretical research,we carry out evaluation research on chemical classification concepts.Firstly,according to the development level of the chemical classification concept of high school students,the assessment tool of the chemical classification idea of high school students was compiled,and the assessment tool was tested through two rounds of testing.After the first round of testing,the Rashch model was used to check the quality of the test tool from the overall quality,single-dimensionality,reliability,validity and project fit.According to the problems found in the process of quality inspection,the test questions were corrected and improved,and the chemical classification observation tools for high school students with good indicators were obtained.Next,the revised test tool was used to systematically measure the development level of high school students’ chemical classification concept,and 324 senior high school students in a high school in Shandong Province were evaluated on chemical classification concept.The evaluation results showed that most of the senior students were at the middle and high level of the chemical classification view,and only a few students were at the low level of the chemical classification view.At the same time,SPSS 26.0 software was also used to analyze the relationship between chemical classification and gender,and it was found that the level of chemical classification between boys and girls was not obvious.The comparison of chemical classification views in different dimensions was carried out,and it was found that there were certain differences among students in different dimensions.In idea of the results,this study also puts forward teaching suggestions to promote the construction of chemical classification view.The innovation of this study lies in the definition of the connotation of chemical classification concept,and the three development levels and corresponding behavior of high school students’ chemical classification concept are divided;The development level of high school students’ chemical classification concept was systematically measured.
