Mathematics originates from life,is used in life,and returns to the essence of life.In today’s rapidly developing modern information technology,short videos have the characteristics of being intuitive,visualized,and diverse in form.Applying short videos to classroom teaching can appropriately reduce students’ boredom in learning abstract mathematical knowledge and enhance their interest in learning mathematics.The new round of curriculum reform has put forward the requirement of life oriented high school mathematics teaching.Based on the educational theories of famous educators such as Dewey and Tao Xingzhi,and guided by the life oriented concept in the high school mathematics curriculum standards,this article attempts to combine life oriented situations with video teaching,and improve students’ classroom learning efficiency by applying high school mathematics teaching videos based on the life oriented concept,Guide students to carry out independent learning and cooperative learning to achieve the effect of applying what they have learned.This study combines the characteristics of high school mathematics subjects and high school students,and takes high school first year students as experimental subjects to investigate and analyze the impact of video teaching under the concept of lifestyle on students’ mathematics learning effectiveness.The research mainly focuses on the following aspects:(1)By analyzing the characteristics of high school students’ learning situation and the subject characteristics of high school mathematics,a questionnaire survey is conducted to investigate the current situation of using life oriented videos for teaching in high school mathematics classrooms,and to explore the necessity of using life oriented videos for teaching;At the same time,based on interviews and surveys with frontline mathematics teachers on the application of life oriented teaching videos and encouragement and support from schools and society,the operability of high school mathematics teaching video applications based on life oriented concepts is analyzed.(2)Based on the familiar daily living environment of high school students and the knowledge structure and life experience they already possess,the implementation process and principles of high school mathematics video teaching based on the concept of life oriented are determined based on the survey and analysis results.Teaching design is carried out from the aspects of teaching objectives,teaching content,teaching process,teaching evaluation,etc.,and specific examples are used to carry out life oriented video teaching.(3)In order to investigate the effectiveness of high school mathematics video teaching based on the concept of life oriented,teaching experiments were conducted on two parallel classes in the first grade of the internship school where students studied.The learning effect of life oriented video teaching is examined from the perspectives of students’ learning experience,learning process,and academic performance.The conclusion is drawn that implementing life oriented video teaching can not only stimulate students’ interest in learning,but also stimulate their interest in learning,Improving students’ participation and interactivity in classroom learning can also make their attention more focused and their learning enthusiasm significantly enhanced,which has a certain promoting effect on improving students’ innovation awareness,independent exploration ability,and practical problem-solving application ability.
