| With the promotion of the new college entrance examination reform and the gradual implementation of a new round of curriculum reform,teachers are urgently seeking for unit teaching model that focuses on evaluation and understanding,so as to solve the teaching problems brought by the current new college entrance examination reform.UbD(Understanding by Design)theory of “beginning to end”,also known as reverse instructional design theory,has gradually entered educators’ vision.This theory attaches importance to understanding and evaluation,emphasizes the design of teaching activities based on expected results and evaluation evidence,and pays attention to the depth of learning and the application and transfer of knowledge.Generally speaking,teaching theories need to be studied based on a specific content.The unit of “exponents and exponential functions” is an important content of the function topic in high school,which is closely related to series and derivatives.It is not difficult but students have difficulty in cognition,which is suitable for the attempt of reverse teaching research.Therefore,the main question of this thesis is how to design the unit instruction of “exponents and exponential functions” in high school based on UbD theory.Based on the above background,this thesis firstly uses the literature analysis method to review the UbD theory,unit instructional design,exponential and exponential functions teaching,and analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the existing research.Secondly,questionnaires were compiled from four dimensions,namely,students’ emotional understanding of exponential functions,cognition of applied value,knowledge mastery and teachers’ teaching,to analyze the current teaching situation of “exponents and exponential functions”,and to find out the following problems: students’ knowledge understanding is not in place,students’ overall cognitive level is not high,and “teaching-learning-evaluation” mismatch.Based on UbD theory,in order to solve the problems obtained from the investigation,this thesis gives the reverse teaching design process of “exponents and exponential functions” unit:expected result analysis,evaluation evidence analysis,learning activity design,division of scheduled class hours and the main content of class hours.Through teacher interviews,it is confirmed that this process has certain operability in teaching.According to the interview suggestions,the teaching design of part of the unit of “exponents and exponential functions” is carried out,so as to provide references for first-line teachers to design innovative teaching plans.Finally,relevant suggestions are put forward for teaching design: make use of big concepts and basic problems to clarify teaching objectives;From the actual point of view,realize the integration of “teaching,learning and evaluation”;Prepare lessons as a group and brainstorm ideas.Through the effective combination of UbD theory and the unit of “exponents and exponential functions”,this thesis enriches the application of UbD theory in mathematics teaching is enriched.On the other hand,it also provides a new research direction for the teaching of “exponents and exponential functions”,which is of certain value in both theory and practice. |
