| With the continuous trend of intelligence in society and the modernization of education,the improvement of computational thinking has become a new requirement of the times for talents.Computational thinking is a thinking activity in which individuals utilize relevant knowledge in the field of computer science and other disciplines to mobilize their own attitude and quality,and engage in practical steps such as decomposition,abstraction,algorithm,evaluation,and transfer to seek problem-solving in a certain problem context.However,traditional teaching methods still focus on knowledge and lack the cultivation of students’ internal thinking,and the learning effect still needs to be improved.PBL(Project-Based Learning)refers to a teaching model that starts from the concept of a subject,focuses on learners,and aims to complete projects.It requires learners to explore in a collaborative manner around real situations,in order to acquire knowledge and improve abilities.There is a high degree of synergy with the cultivation of computational thinking.Therefore,this study aims to design and conduct empirical research on the PBL model for improving middle school students’ computational thinking,in order to better cultivate students’ computational thinking.This study mainly adopts research methods such as literature review,questionnaire survey,quasi experimental method,and classroom observation.Firstly,through the literature research method,study relevant literature materials such as computational thinking and PBL at home and abroad,understand the development of computational thinking research,analyze the current research status of PBL mode,determine research issues and content,define relevant concepts such as computational thinking and PBL,and lay a theoretical foundation for the conduct of this study.Secondly,by combining suitability analysis,curriculum standard analysis,and typical relevant pattern analysis,experience and inspiration were gained,and the construction principles of this study were proposed.A PBL model was designed to enhance middle school students’ computational thinking.Thirdly,taking junior high school Python content as an example,combined with the PBL designed by our research institute to enhance junior high school students’ computational thinking,teaching design is carried out: analyzing the learning situation,learners,and learning content,designing teaching objectives,teaching processes,teaching resources,and teaching evaluations.Fourthly,design teaching experiments to conduct empirical research on PBL for improving middle school students’ computational thinking.Choose classes based on internship schools for practical implementation and quasi experimental research.Collect data through questionnaire survey,classroom observation,and other methods,analyze the obtained data after the experiment,verify the effectiveness of the PBL model for improving middle school students’ computational thinking,and draw research conclusions.Finally,conduct a research summary and outlook.Through the collection and analysis of experimental data,the following conclusions were finally drawn in this study: firstly,after applying the PBL designed in this study to enhance middle school students’ computational thinking,the experimental class students’ computational thinking skills were better than those of the control class.Secondly,after applying this research design to enhance the PBL of junior high school students’ computational thinking,the experimental class students had a better attitude towards computational thinking than the control class.By completing the above research work,the following research results have been achieved in this study: Firstly,a PBL model was designed to enhance middle school students’ computational thinking,and the teaching design of this model was carried out using Python content as an example,providing a certain reference for future research.Secondly,an empirical study was conducted on the PBL designed to enhance middle school students’ computational thinking,and its effectiveness in practical applications was verified,providing a certain reference for teachers’ teaching. |
