Novel teaching is an important part of high school language reading teaching,which can promote students’ aesthetic experience,improve their thinking quality and strengthen their ability to observe,analyze and judge social reality,while instructional design is a teaching vision and plan made before teaching,which is the key to carry out teaching.Therefore,the scientific and effective design of novel teaching helps to better improve the teaching effect of language reading.At present,there are many theoretical studies on novel teaching design,but there are still problems in practice.For example,teachers do not know enough about the value of novel teaching design,have unclear teaching objectives,choose content arbitrarily,evaluate ineffectively,and ignore the transfer and application of novel reading experience.The high school novel reverse teaching design based on SOLO classification theory follows the design sequence of determining the goal first,then formulating evaluation,and finally determining the teaching process,and applies SOLO classification theory to novel teaching design to achieve the scientificity of teaching goals,the effectiveness of teaching evaluation,and the orderliness of teaching contents and teaching activities,etc.,so as to help students develop higher-order thinking in novel reading learning and form a transferable It helps students develop higher-order thinking and form transferable knowledge systems in novel reading,thus promoting the improvement of novel teaching quality.The SOLO classification theory,the "structure of the observed learning outcome," is a hierarchical descriptive qualitative evaluation method that evaluates the quality of learning through the structure of learning outcomes.The theory identifies the structure of the observed learning outcome as five levels of thinking: pre-structure,single-point structure,multi-point structure,associative structure,and abstract expansion structure,providing a general framework for student development.Reverse instructional design advocates starting with the intended learning outcomes and emphasizes goals first and assessment first.Its basic steps are: specifying expected outcomes,finding evidence for assessment,and organizing learning activities.The model verifies the scientificity and feasibility of instructional design according to the sequence of objectives,assessment,and instruction,and promotes the implementation of students’ core literacy in teaching.Based on the SOLO classification theory,the reverse instructional design of high school fiction provides teachers with a clear design path from what they expect students to learn,to how to prove that students learn,and finally to design activities around "how students learn".This is divided into three steps.The first step is the design of teaching objectives,based on the principles,basis and value orientation of the objectives,and the statement of teaching objectives based on SOLO classification;the second step is the improvement of the evaluation design around the teaching objectives,optimizing the three dimensions of evaluation principles,evaluation strategies and evaluation tasks,describing the SOLO representation of response levels,and providing the evaluation classification criteria under the guidance of SOLO theory;The third step is the development of teaching strategies,mainly from six aspects: grasping the learning situation,selecting teaching contents,choosing teaching methods,introducing strategies of background knowledge,combining reading and writing tasks,and "1+X" teaching mode.Taking "The Metamorphosis(excerpt)" as an example,the teaching design is carried out from six aspects: design basis,teaching goal,evaluation goal,evaluation content and object,teaching content and method,and teaching process,aiming to enhance the practical value of the theoretical research and make it more suitable for the actual teaching of high school novels.
