| As a thinking mode of using basic computer concepts to solve problems, computational thinking has been incorporated into the teaching system in countries around the world since its introduction, and China also proposed the core literacy of information technology subjects including computational thinking. The relevant studies abroad have confirmed the positive effects of game-based teaching in improving students’ learning motivation, interest. At the same time, programming education, which is the main way to cultivate computational thinking, has been generally recognized in recent years for its achievements in combining with gamified teaching. However,Minecraft is widely used in programming education in foreign primary and secondary schools for its rich immersion, extensibility and ease of operation,so this study will design teaching activities based on Minecraft with the goal of developing computational thinking and verify its effectiveness through teaching practice. This study designs a gamified programming learning model using the sandbox game Minecraft as a tool, and explores and verifies its feasibility and effectiveness in cultivating computational thinking in high school students. This paper first reviews the concepts related to computational thinking cultivation and gamified learning through literature research method;after that,it proposes a Minecraft gamified programming teaching model;finally, the effectiveness of the learning model is verified through teaching practice. The research results show that the Minecraft-based gamified programming teaching model designed in this paper can significantly improve the computational thinking level of high school students, among which the three areas of creativity, collaboration and problem solving are significantly enhanced, while it has a certain enhancement effect on students’ classroom status and interest in programming learning. |
