With the development of the globalized market economy and the widespread dissemination of Western liberal ideas,education is facing the dilemma of cultivating "exquisite egoists".In the field of family education,parents’ cultivation of children’s personality has been invaded by utilitarianism,which is not conducive to the cultivation of individual’s perfect personality.The family education thought contained in "Fu Lei’s Family Letter" is based on the fusion of Eastern and Western values,with traditional Chinese cultural concepts and the value needs of the times as nutrients,and the wisdom of educating people formed through life-oriented practice."Fu Lei’s Family Letter" is about all aspects of children’s personality shaping behind the family education thought,which can provide useful guidance and reference for family education in the current Chinese society.Taking into account the theoretical concern of the family education thought on children’s personality education in Fu Lei’s Family Letter,this paper attempts to analyze the ethical nature of family education by taking Hegel’s ethical thought as a theoretical resource.Hegel believes that education is an art that makes people ethical.As the starting point of individual from nature to ethics,so is the essence of family education.The relationship between father and son has substantive significance,and parents have the obligation to correct their children’s "natural willfulness",so family education has ethical basis.In addition,family education based on love and trust is the starting point and an important stage for children’s liberation,and the realization of children’s personality education and ethical liberation is the ethical mission of family education.Based on this,this paper tries to explain the family education thought of "Fu Lei’s Family Letter" from the perspective of ethics.First,analyze the formation of family education thought in Fu Lei’s Family Letter.Fu Lei’s own growth experience,the ethical enlightenment movement before and after the May Fourth Movement and the moral construction after the founding of New China are his historical background;the roots of Chinese traditional culture and the influence of Western ideology and culture are his theoretical origins.Secondly,the ethical method of Fu Lei’s family education is analyzed.On the premise of the father-son relationship of filial piety and friendship,Fu Lei’s family education can be carried out.Ethical dialogue based on equality is the basic method of Fu Lei’s family education,and the combination of educating people with affection and upbringing is the specific method of Fu Lei’s family education.Thirdly,the key issue of family education thought in "Fu Lei’s Family Letter" is the issue of children’s personality education.In the development of children’s personality,Fu Lei involves many aspects.Specifically,there are three important aspects: one is to guide children to correctly view love,marriage and family;the other is to cultivate children’s universal ethical education to help children adapt Public life;the third is to cultivate Fu Cong’s ethical identity with the country based on the reality that Fu Cong lived in a foreign country and is exposed to Western culture.Finally,combined with the current ethical issues of Chinese family education,it discusses its modern value,including that parents should improve the level of ethical cognition and contemporary family education should return to life,freedom and liberation.
