Thoroughly implement the subject literacy requirements of the General High School Chemistry Curriculum Standards(2017 Edition Revised 2020),develop students’ core chemistry literacy and motivate students to be learners of chemistry in order to carry out the fundamental task of establishing moral education and cultivating builders and successors of socialist modernity who are "morally, intellectually, physically, aesthetically and socially" developed. The course is designed to develop students’ basic knowledge of chemistry and motivate them to learn chemistry. The practical teaching of high school chemistry integrates project-oriented learning with students as the main body and real-life problems.Students apply comprehensive knowledge to solve practical problems through group work.Students’ core chemistry skills are enhanced through experimental exploration and product production. This study consists of four main components, which are as follows:(1)To formulate the research content of this paper, the literature review method was used to sort out the current situation of domestic and international research on project-based learning and to clarify the current situation of research on project-based learning in secondary school chemistry education.(2)To investigate the feasibility of project-based learning in Middle School T in Mian yang City,a questionnaire survey was conducted. The survey found that the frontline teachers were more accepting of project-based learning and the students were more interested in doing project-based learning.(3)The construction of the teaching process for project-based learning includes the integration of the project-based learning themes, the teaching strategies and the evaluation system in the compulsory phase of the human edition. Two project-based learning exercises,"Hydrolysis of Starch" and "Saponification of Fat",were conducted. The teaching effectiveness of project-based learning was examined on the basis of evaluation scales and test results.(4)Conclusion and outlook: Project-based learning can enhance students’ accumulation of extra-curricular knowledge and their ability to apply knowledge in an integrated manner. It can also develop students’ literacy in "scientific inquiry and innovation".Project-based learning is used by high school teachers to enrich students’ learning styles and motivate them to learn chemistry. However, there are still problems such as students’ lack of autonomy in learning, time constraints and high teaching pressure.
