Since the eighth basic education reform started in 1999,there have been more than 20 years.The physical education curriculum reform is also deepening,and many excellent curriculum concepts are constantly coming into people’s vision.In the process of the development of school physical education in our country,we are drawing the advantages of foreign excellent courses,such as American SPARK.There must be something special about SPARK that has endured throughout its decades of development.This study aims to learn from the excellent points of SPARK curriculum,combine with the requirements of Chinese curriculum standards,and improve the localization of students’ physical and mental characteristics,so as to improve the enthusiasm of students’ sports learning and improve their physical quality.This paper adopts the method of literature,questionnaire,experiment,comparative analysis,mathematical statistics and so on.In Neihuang Experimental Primary School,two classes of Grade 5 were selected as experimental class and control class,and experimental method was adopted to conduct teaching experiments.The experimental class uses SPARK course to teach physical education,which is taught by myself.The control class uses traditional physical education and is taught by teachers with equivalent level.The experiment lasts for 12 weeks and 36 class hours.Through teaching experiment research,the following conclusions are drawn:(1)The introduction of SPARK in primary school physical education has a very good effect on cultivating students’ interest in sports.In the four dimensions of sports learning interest assessment scale,sports participation and active interest increased significantly,while negative interest decreased significantly.Experimental class students had a certain positive impact on independent learning,but the difference was not significant.(2)After the experiment,the students in the control class improved their sports participation,active interest and independent learning in the four dimensions of sports learning interest,while their negative interest decreased,but the range was small and there was no significant difference.(3)The introduction of SPARK into primary physical education is beneficial to the development of students’ physical health.There was no significant difference between the two classes in the test items of height,weight and seated forward bending,but there were significant differences between the two classes in lung capacity,50 meters and one-minute rope skipping.Girls in particular have a significant difference in the 50 meters category.(4)The physical health of the students in the control class was improved after the experiment compared with that before the experiment,but the improvement was small compared with the experimental class,with no significant difference.
