Social Positions Leasing And Bidding System:An Empirical Study Of Involution

The study of social positions arose in Western European and American countries,and it is a powerful tool for western scholars to study the social mobility in the West according to the economic,cultural and institutional factors in the West.Its main concern is whether there is an equal and open social system in which social individuals or groups strive for social positions according to their ability and effort.P.A.Sorokin,a Russia An-American sociologist,explores the underlying implications of this issue in his book Social Mobility.In this work,P.A.Sorokin’s research on social mobility introduced the basic concept of status acquisition into the field of sociology for the first time.Since then,the wave of theoretical and empirical research on positions acquisition has swept the academic circles all over the world,and the comparative study on positions acquisition process has become one of the focus objects of scholars.No matter in western capitalist countries or China and other socialist countries,the understanding of the concept of social positions is rich in multiple perspectives and multi-dimensions.The author finds that how to obtain social positions is often related to specific occupational position through the research of relevant scholars in relevant literature and books.Based on the above considerations,the author innovative puts forward the academic concept of "social positions lease" to summarize the process of acquiring occupational position in contemporary China,which is called "social positions lease" process.In the process of empirical research on this paper,the author found that when it comes to the selection of specific career position,in contemporary Chinese society,work within the system is gradually pursued by a large number of social groups because of its own advantages,such as enjoying favorable treatment and various living security.This study analyzes the multi-faceted reasons why social groups choose to work within the system in the process of "social positions lease" from the perspectives of social system,the influence of parents and peers,and the sense of belonging of group psychology,as well as how social groups invest time,energy,economy,connections and other bidding methods in order to achieve the expected goals.In different stages of development,people are in different social positions.When social individuals are in the process of "social positions leasing",the process of career path selection is often restricted by The Times and social development trend,so most social individuals or groups in it unconsciously lose the power and ability to make active choices.The term"involution" mentioned in this study is mainly used to explain the cycle of energy consumption of social individuals or groups in the process of "social positions lease".
