| This paper analyzes the technical and tactical characteristics of the top three athletes in women’s taekwondo at the 14 th National Games in 2021 by studying and analyzing the technical and tactical characteristics and movement rules of the outstanding athletes at all levels,so as to provide certain opinions and suggestions for promoting the high-quality development of China’s women’s taekwondo program and achieving good results in the taekwondo competition at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. The characteristics of technical and tactical use of the top three excellent female athletes of all levels of taekwondo in the 14 th National Games were studied using literature, survey and research, expert interview, video analysis and mathematical and statistical methods. The results of the study show that:(1)from the perspective of technique usage, the female athletes of the 14 th National Games Taekwondo Minor Division performed better than the Major Division. It is worth noting that the front cross kick scored more than half of the total points in the competition, and the use of the leg technique was crucial to the victory or defeat of the competition.(2)In terms of timing and response, the best female athletes in the junior ranks used more flexible footwork to move their opponents into their own rhythm so that they could attack at the right time.In addition, the junior women are more adept at using their front legs to bait and disrupt their opponent’s attacking rhythm,so that they can launch an immediate attack at the right time.In contrast, the best female athletes in the big divisions are more likely to use their front legs to create opportunities for timely attacks, and to weaken the threat of their opponents’ attacks through their punching and leaning techniques.(3)In terms of tactics and the use of scoring styles, there are some differences between the best athletes at different levels. The right solid stance is the most common and highest scoring stance used by female athletes at the small level, while the left solid stance is the most successful. In contrast, the medium and large level female athletes tended to adopt more offensive tactics, supplemented by counter-attack and counter-attack tactics, and were more adept at using the right solid stance, which also had a relatively higher scoring rate.(4)The rules of competitive taekwondo change over time and space,so athletes need to constantly adapt their fighting style to meet the requirements of the game. However, the strong willed quality of the athlete is a core quality that remains constant. The main foul situations in this tournament included negative play, falling to the ground and going out of bounds.Negative play was the most likely scenario to result in a penalty point deduction, accounting for more than half of the penalty points. |
