Football teachers are the key to determine the quality of campus football developments.Since the release of a series of campus football related policy documents,the requirments for physical education teachers in primary and secondary schools,especially football teachers,are getting higher and higher.However,at the present stage,the football teachers in primary and secondary schools fail to meet the relevant requirements,so colleges and universities need to improve the training of football teachers.The country’s cultivation of primary and secondary school students is multi-directional collaborative education,so the future teachers should have a certain ability to cooperate.Students majoring in physical education in colleges and universities are the reserve force of football teachers in primary and secondary schools,and the general course of football is its required course.Currently,there are some problems in the general course of football teaching,such as students’ low interest in learning and practicing,and students are in a passive position.The teaching method is an important link in the process of the cultivation of football general teaching talents.Therefore,this paper applies the group game competition method to football teaching to verify its application effect,and finds its feasibility and advantages by comparing with traditional teaching methods.It is expected that by improving the teaching methods in football teaching,the training objectives and external requirements of some schools can be achieved.Team Games tournament(TGT)is a cooperative learning method proposed by professors Devries and Slavin of Johns Hopkins University in 1980.TGT is different from the previous "game method" and "competition method".Cooperation is the concept.Students study,practice and compete in groups.Relevant researchers have applied this method to the teaching of sports such as basketball and volleyball and achieved good results.However,it is not found in the general teaching of football,which indicates that the group game competition method has certain research value.The results show that: After 12 weeks of teaching experiment intervention,1)in terms of football skills,compared with the data before and after the experiment,the experimental group has a very significant difference(P<0.01),the control group also has a very significant improvement(P<0.01),but after the experiment,the experimental group has a very significant difference(P<0.01)compared with the control group.And the increase is larger,more concentrated data.2)In terms of interest in football learning,after the experiment and before the experiment,the experimental group had a very significant difference(P<0.01),the control group had no significant difference(P>0.05),after the experiment,the experimental group and the control group had a very significant difference(P<0.01).3)In terms of cooperation ability,after the experiment and before the experiment,the experimental group had a very significant difference(P<0.01),the control group had no significant difference(P>0.05),after the experiment,the experimental group and the control group had a very significant difference(P<0.01).Conclusion: Through 12-week teaching experiment and comparative analysis of the two teaching methods,it is proved that the group game competition method has more advantages than the traditional teaching method in improving students’ football skills,football learning interest,cooperation ability and so on.
