In March 2021,the Outline of the Fourteenth Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development of the People’s Republic of China and Vision2035,adopted at the Fourth Session of the 13 th National People’s Congress,proposed to "build a high-quality education system","steadily expand the scale of professional degree postgraduates " and "vigorously promote the training of teachers at the graduate level".As adequate and high-quality practical teaching is an important guarantee for improving the quality of full-time M.Ed.professional degree education,cultivation units are paying more and more attention to practical teaching in the cultivation process,making it the focus of full-time M.Ed.postgraduate training.The practical teaching of full-time M.Ed.postgraduates at University of S has achieved a series of results in promoting and applying it,so University of S is selected as a case study.This study was firstly based on a comprehensive collection,review and analysis of the research results related to the practical teaching of Master of Education at home and abroad,to define relevant concepts and prepare theories.Secondly,based on the service quality gap model,a questionnaire survey was used to study and analyse the current situation of practical teaching for full-time M.Ed.students at the University of S.It was found that full-time M.Ed.students at the University of S rated both the importance and satisfaction of practical teaching as high,but there were still differences.In addition,it was found that the problems of on-campus practical training for full-time M.Ed.students at the University of S were mainly the lack of feedback evaluation of mock lectures,the lack of systematic basic skills training courses and the inadequate use of on-campus practical training classrooms.The problems of off-campus practical training were mainly the short duration of study resulting in the poor effect of educational internship and the few opportunities for students to actually attend classes.Based on the analysis of the questionnaire survey,further analysis through interviews suggests that the main reasons for the problems of practical teaching of full-time master’s degree students in education are the lack of implementation of the main responsibility of supervisors;the lack of internal motivation of students to participate in practical teaching;and the imperfect guarantee mechanism of cultivation units on practical teaching.Finally,strategies for solving the problems of practical teaching are proposed in three aspects: active implementation of the main responsibility by supervisors,active enhancement of students’ intrinsic motivation to participate in practical teaching,and improvement of the guarantee mechanism of practical teaching by cultivation units.
