As the successor of the country,the health status of college students has always attracted much attention from all walks of life.In recent years,the physical health level of college students in China has been declining,and mental health problems have become increasingly prominent.After the epidemic,the health of college students is even less optimistic,and their health needs may change.As an important part of health education for college students,the school’s health education system is constantly updated and improved with the development of the times and the needs of students.Objective: By investigating the health status,health needs and health education status of college students in China,this study provides a reference for building a college health education system that is more in line with the needs of the times and more in line with the actual needs of students,and improves the health literacy of college students.Methods: This paper uses the questionnaire survey method to study college health education for college students,and conducts this survey in the form of online questionnaire by randomly sampling college students combined with snowball sampling by teachers and counselors,and sets up a way to avoid repeated answers.A total of 1548 valid questionnaires were collected.SPSS 23.0 software was used for data collation and analysis,and independent sample T test and univariate ANOVA test were carried out on the exercise habits,eating habits,sleep conditions,psychological state,adaptability,satisfaction with school health education and the importance of health education in colleges and universities.Statistical comparison of health education provided by colleges and universities and the health needs of students,correlation analysis between health status and health education,regression was used to analyze the impact of health education on students’ health..Results:(1)The self-evaluation and objective evaluation of the health status of college students in China were divided into 1.87 ± 0.82,32.69 ± 6.63,all of which were at a relatively good level.However,in terms of distribution,self-evaluation was mainly concentrated in the level of relatively good(39.02%)and very good(38.05%),and the objective evaluation was mainly concentrated in relatively good(45.93%)and average(41.73%).Among them,the health status of boys was significantly better than that of girls(p < 0.01).The health status of economics and management majors was the least optimistic(p < 0.01),and the health status of Arts and Sports majors was the best(p < 0.05).Seniors had the worst health status(p <0.01)and freshmen and sophomores had the best health status(p < 0.01);The health status of students in public institutions was significantly better than that of private universities(p <0.05);The health status of students in general colleges is significantly better than that of other schools(p < 0.05).(2)Current status of health education in colleges and universities is diverse forms and rich educational resources,teaching teachers are mainly professional or similar professional teachers(82.54%),and 17.46% of school health education teaching teachers are physical education teachers or instructors.There was no significant difference in the importance attached to health education in schools,in terms of grade,major,and nature of college(3)School health education has a significant positive impact on student satisfaction,health status,exercise habits,eating habits,sleep status,psychological state and adaptive ability.(4).The health education content provided by the school basically meets the needs of students,but the health education demand of students does not match the health courses provided by the institutions.Students’ demand for sports safety,efficient safety education and occupational health is lower than what schools provide;The demand for first aid and accident management,chronic and infectious disease prevention,and sexual and reproductive health is higher than that provided by schools;in terms of outdoor physical education classes,students demand more sports than the school provides.In terms of teaching format,students’ demand for offline theoretical courses,online audio and video courses,school official accounts and other online article pushes,and health education practice courses are less than those provided by schools,and the demand for health education class meetings,campus radio or campus publicity boards,educational theme activities or games,and distribution of health education-related books is higher than that provided by schools,and the supply and demand of health education lectures and group classes are basically the same.In terms of the frequency of health education courses,the demand of students is higher than that provided by schools,and the demand is mainly concentrated once a week to once every two weeks;In terms of the frequency of outdoor physical education classes,the demand for students is lower than that provided by schools,and the demand is mainly concentrated once a week to once a month.(5)67.38% of college students believe that the school has conducted a survey on the health education of college students,and 60.21% of college students believe that the school has established a health education feedback and evaluation mechanism.(6)Boys were significantly better than girls in terms of satisfaction with school health education(p < 0.05);the satisfaction of students majoring in economics and management was the lowest(p < 0.05),and the satisfaction of students majoring in art and sports was higher than that of science and engineering(p < 0.01),economics and management(p < 0.01)and agricultural and medical majors(p < 0.05);the satisfaction of sophomores was significantly higher than that of senior students(p < 0.05);student satisfaction in public institutions is higher than in private institutions(p < 0.05);the satisfaction of students in ordinary secondary institutions was significantly higher than that of junior colleges(p < 0.05).Conclusion: The health status of college students is at a general and relatively good level,and their subjective evaluation is better than the objective evaluation,and the objective evaluation of health status shows significant differences in gender,major,grade and school nature.Students are more satisfied with the health education carried out by the school,and the health education provided by the school basically meets the needs of students,but the ranking of students’ health education needs does not match the health curriculum provided by the school. |
