The Guide to Learning and Development for Children aged 3-6 suggests that children’s imagination and creativity should be cultivated in a variety of ways.Therefore,how to design a set of appropriate art activities and give full play to the maximum educational function of art activities has become a puzzle and concern of kindergarten teachers.This study mainly adopts the method of educational experiment and case analysis,combined with the method of interview and observation.Taking X Garden,a public garden in Chengdu,as the research base,aiming at the problems existing in the art activities of X Garden in cultivating children’s creative thinking,it draws on the theory and method of Kolb’s "experiential learning circle" to construct a set of experiential art activities.To understand the influence of experiential art activities on the development of creative thinking of middle school children.In this study,two middle class children in X Garden were selected as research objects and divided into experimental group and control group based on the principle of homogeneity.12 times of experiential art activities were carried out for children in the experimental group,while the control group maintained the original normal teaching.Finally,after the intervention,the experimental group and the control group were respectively subjected to post-test analysis of creative thinking.The results show that: first,experiential art activities have a certain role in promoting the creative thinking of middle school children;Secondly,experiential art activities can significantly improve the fluency,flexibility,originality and delicacy of creative thinking of middle school children.Research conclusions: First,experiential art activities alleviate the problems in the cultivation of creative thinking in X Garden,which is conducive to the development of creative thinking in middle school kindergarten;Secondly,experiential art activities promote the development of the four dimensions of creative thinking fluency,flexibility,originality and delicacy of middle school children;Thirdly,experiential art activities can promote the development of other abilities of middle and class children;Fourthly,the design,organization and implementation of experiential art activities should pay attention to integrity.Educational suggestions: first,create experiential learning situation to induce children’s emotion and resonance;The second is to grasp the content of creative activities,triggering children’s observation and reflection;Third,create an open art environment to cultivate children’s imagination and creation;The fourth is to build a complete version of art curriculum to support children’s migration and application.
