| The "double reduction" policy proposes that schools should reduce students’ homework burden and improve the quality of homework.Homework is an important entry point to solve this problem. At the same time, the New Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2022)also proposes that teachers should pay attention to students’ internal and external life in and out of school, carefully design a variety of types of homework, and promote the development of students’ core literacy. That is,the development of students’ core competencies needs to be reflected in a variety of practical activities. Therefore, the value of non-written homework as a good platform to "reduce students’ burden and develop students’ core literacy" has gradually become prominent.Assignment design is the starting point of assignments, and in the face of this new form of assignment, how to design non-written homework is particularly important.Through practical teaching observation and analysis of relevant literature, this study determined that the core research question is: "How do lower primary school language teachers design effective non-written homework?" "Based on the theory of multiple intelligences, the theory of recent development areas and the theory of learning constructivism,it is clear that the operation design should follow the principles of diversification, hierarchical design, and contextualization. And clarify the core concepts by combing through the literature.Based on this, this study investigates the design status of non-written homework in lower primary schools through questionnaires and interviews,so as to understand the cognition, design quality and evaluation of non-written homework among teachers in lower primary schools.Through the investigation and analysis,it is found that the current non-written homework design has the following problems: lack of literacy development orientation of goals, lack of diversity of content, lack of hierarchy of difficulty design, and lack of diversification of evaluation. The main reasons are: teachers’ insufficient awareness of the value of non-written homework, insufficient teachers’ ability to design non-written homework, and limited conditions for the implementation of non-written homework.According to the research results, improvement strategies are proposed: change the concept, improve the operation design ability, enrich the operation source, innovate the operation design, identify the "recent development area",design the operation in layers, improve the evaluation system, and realize the diversification of operation evaluation. Finally, the operation examples are designed and applied according to the operation design principles, and then the application results are evaluated and reflected.Through the application of homework examples,it is found that effective non-written homework can enhance students’ interest in homework, develop students’ multi-faceted abilities, internalize students’ good learning habits, and then promote the development of students’ core language literacy, and realize the effective implementation of reducing burden and improving quality. |
