With the development of society,the times demand more higher-order thinking skills from high-quality talents,and the cultivation of higher-order thinking skills is also the concrete embodiment of cultivating students’ core literacy advocated by the new curriculum standards.The implementation of MBD teaching strategy can play a very important role in cultivating students’ higher-order thinking ability,so it is very meaningful to explore the effective implementation of MBD teaching strategy.Guided by the General High School Chemistry Curriculum Standards(Revision 2020,2017 Edition)and based on constructivism,information processing and other educational theories,the feasibility of MBD teaching strategy implementation,considerations for teaching strategy implementation,instructional design and related teaching practices were studied to achieve the expected purpose and achieve all the research objectives.(1)MBD teaching strategies are practical and feasible in chemistry teaching.The implementation of MBD teaching strategies in chemistry teaching is feasible as long as there is strong support from the school and close cooperation from relevant school departments,and after certain training for chemistry teachers.(2)Considerations for the implementation of MBD teaching strategies.In the process of teaching design and implementation,attention must also be paid to(1)the relationship between teachers and learners in the teaching process;(2)the overall layout and partial guidelines;(3)the selection of materials;and(4)the construction of teaching situations.(3)MBD teaching strategy can improve students’ higher-order thinking skills and academic performance in chemistry.MBD teaching strategy is to combine theoretical concepts in textbooks with real-world scenarios so that students can better understand and apply new knowledge.The role of teachers as instructors and supporters increases the interaction between teachers and students,and the use of vivid and realistic scenarios creates an immersive learning experience that deepens students’ perceptual understanding.In conclusion,MBD teaching strategies are beneficial to the development of students’ thinking level,help to improve students’ problem solving ability,and are also effective in improving students’ academic level ability.
