With the in-depth development of science and technology,new requirements have been put forward for talent training in the context of the new era.As a natural discipline with the changes of the times and the common destiny with social development,chemistry plays a pivotal role in the talent training system.How to give full play to the educational value of chemistry and promote students’ knowledge generation? "General High School Chemistry Curriculum Standard Vertebra(2017Edition)" clearly puts forward the need to pay attention to cultivating students’ core literacy of chemistry disciplines,emphasizing the need to realize the organic combination of chemistry teaching with science,technology,society and the environment,and solve practical problems.The topic is to cultivate students’ independent inquiry ability,innovation ability and scientific literacy,lay a good theoretical foundation for achieving sustainable development of society and cultivating socialist successors with all-round moral,intellectual,physical,aesthetic and labor development,and deeply highlight the importance and urgency of STSE education in the middle school stage.However,the extent of the implementation of STSE education at the secondary school stage is unknown,and in-depth practical research needs to be carried out.At the same time,how to deeply promote STSE education in the current educational environment to cultivate students’ core literacy in the chemistry discipline is a valuable,meaningful and viable proposition.First of all,this paper uses the literature research method to sort out the theory and development process of STSE education,and clarify the research theme in combination with the requirements of the core literacy of high school chemistry.Under the background of the new college entrance examination,this paper analyzes the STSE questions involved in the college entrance examination in recent years,and compares the setting of STSE in the new and old textbooks of the people’s education version to clarify the development trend of STSE education.Understand the attitude and implementation status of front-line chemistry teachers in Santai Middle Schools towards STSE education in the form of questionnaires,and investigate students’ understanding of STSE education and the application of STSE-related knowledge to solve practical problems in life.On this basis,empirical research is carried out,teaching cases are designed and practiced,and the students’ grades are compared and analyzed before and after,so as to improve reliability from data analysis.Therefore,find out the application practice of STSE education in the practical teaching of high school chemistry,and make suggestions on the application and development of STSE education in high school chemistry teaching according to the "High School Chemistry Curriculum Standards" and the propositional background of the high school examination questions.The research results show that first,STSE education is conducive to improving students’ interest in chemistry,and thus improving students’ academic performance.To a certain extent,students’ ability to explore and innovate independently has been improved,and their sense of social responsibility has been enhanced.Second,the content of STSE accounts for a large proportion of high school chemistry textbooks and college entrance examination questions,but STSE education has not been paid enough attention to in actual chemistry teaching.Applying the right medicine,combined with the core literacy proposed by the chemistry discipline,teachers should make full use of the content materials of STSE in the new textbook,stimulate students’ sense of independent exploration and innovation in many aspects,pay attention to science and technology,production,life and the environment,improve their sense of social responsibility,and better apply the knowledge of chemistry to solve students practical problems in life.
