| In the 2017 edition of the General High School Chemistry Curriculum Standards,it is mentioned that we should attach importance to the essence of chemistry and cultivate students' core qualities.As the core concept of curriculum reform,"core literacy" is a new milestone in the process of educational reform in China.Among them,"scientific attitude and social responsibility" is an important part of chemical core literacy,requiring students to actively participate in social hot issues and make correct judgments,indicating that STSE education is also a means to achieve "chemical core literacy".STSE education is the first letter of the four English---science,technology,society and environment,STSE pays attention to guide students in the subject teaching to understand the relationship between "scientific knowledge and society,technology,environment",actively participate in the decision-making of social hot issues,use scientific knowledge to rationally view social problems,and constantly cultivate students' critical thinking ability,forming a correct scientific attitude and social values.Teaching is the core measure to realize the educational goal,and the teaching material is an important support for teaching,a bridge for teachers and students to exchange and learn,and also a prerequisite for STSE education.The content arrangement of STSE will directly affect the penetration of STSE education and the quality of students' learning.Through the literature research,the United States is the world's birthplace of STSE education and leader,has a wealth of STSE education experience.Its scientific education teaching materials have been used and used by other developed countries in the world,with strong representativeness.Among them,the American chemical teaching material scientific discoverer "chemical concept and application" is the popular teaching material of American chemical teaching materials,has become the object of reference in other countries,and has been praised by educators in various countries.Therefore,the author from the point of view of STSE,combined with China's 17-year-issued "literacy version" chemistry curriculum standard requirements,the use of comparative analysis of high school chemistry teaching materials---chemical reaction principle module content of comparative research,from the Sino-American high school chemistry teaching material column settings,body arrangement,experimental arrangements,the content of STSE penetration in the exercise comparative analysis.The following conclusions have come to be reached:1.The author finds that both China and America attach great importance to STSE education.In the course standard,it is required to train students to understand the relationship between chemical science and life,society,science,technology and environment.The National Science Education Standard of the United States clearly requires students to develop their scientific literacy,but it does not explicitly require students to understand the relationship between chemical science and society,technology and environment,but from a higher level to ask students to be able to "rational participation in science,natural aspects of public topics and debate." 2.In the arrangement of the subject of "the principle of chemical reaction",the STSE contents selected in Chinese and American textbooks are quite comprehensive.The People's education press focuses on students' chemical principles and the application of chemical technology;the American edition pays more attention to students' life experience and the frontier of chemistry,and focuses on guiding students to learn from life,paying attention to the application and development of chemical science in modern research field.3.The contents of STSE education are permeated in the columns,chemical experiments and exercises of Chinese and American chemistry textbooks,and the STSE education is carried out in their respective ways.Both China and the United States do not set up STSE columns.The number of columns in the People's education edition is lower than that in the American edition,and the arrangement of columns is not fixed.They mainly introduce more basic knowledge of chemistry to students and pay attention to disciplinary values,strengthening students' application of chemical technology.4.As for the "rational thinking" in the Chinese and American textbooks,the People's education press has little rational thinking,while the American edition attaches great importance to the cultivation of rational thinking.In the text and column settings of the textbooks,the objectives of the cultivation of rational thinking are clearly indicated,the corresponding questions are set to guide the students to think about society,environment and science and technology,and the essential requirements of STSE education are well realized.Based on the following research conclusions,we hope to provide more versions of teaching materials for front-line Textbook Writers and more teaching resources for teachers,so as to arouse people's attention to STSE education,carry on the training student's chemistry core accomplishment,unceasingly consummates our country's STSE education system. |
