The new curriculum reform emphasizes the development of core literacy education,the concept of life is the core literacy of biological science,in the concept of life is the most important internal structure and function view,how to improve students’ cognitive level of structure and function view has become an important content of the current core literacy education.Therefore,in order to explore effective ways to enhance students’ structural and functional concept,and provide an effective reference for the cultivation of students’ structural and functional concept,this study has attempted to apply the 5E teaching model to the high school biology classroom for practical research.This study adopted the literature method to understand the origin of 5E teaching model and life concept,domestic research results and foreign research results,and defined the concepts of "5E teaching model" and "life concept" respectively,so as to clarify the theoretical basis of this study.In zunyi second interview method combining a line of high school biology teacher interviews,to further determine the domestic development situation of biological structure and function of teaching nature,combined with the method of questionnaire,the structure and function of students cognitive level to implement inspection,found that the teachers in our school for the concept of structure and function of cultivating the awareness is not enough,Students’ cognition of structure and function also needs to be improved.Based on the present situation,this research to zunyi grade second middle schools the same levels of two classes as experimental object,5E teaching model was applied to the class for a semester of teaching practice,practice again late issue students with the cognitive level of structure and function view questionnaire,students interest and attitude for after the test,through the SPSS software,In view of the experimental class and control class,a comprehensive analysis is carried out to summarize the specific results of the structure and function observation papers.In combination with the results of the study to judge,in 5E teaching mode,experimental classes of biological science learning attitude,learning interest has more obvious improvement,data than that in comparative classes is more outstanding,in the role of 5E teaching mode,helps to cultivate students’ concept of structure and function,makes the students’ life concept understanding and application level was improved,At the same time,it also has a positive impact on improving biological performance.To sum up,the 5E teaching mode applied in the high school biology classroom teaching practice have achieved evident results,but there are still some shortcomings in this study,the author should improve their professional ability and teaching level,the optimization of each link,the concept of internalization of the pattern to the classroom teaching,which meet the requirements of the new curriculum reform,Continuously improve the core literacy of students.
