Teacher professional identity is the love and recognition of the teaching profession,and is the premise and foundation for teachers to do a good job in teaching and educating people.Therefore,helping students form a strong professional identity as a teacher is an important task of vocational and technical teacher education.As a compulsory course of vocational and technical teacher education,it should play an important role in the cultivation of professional identity of in-service teachers and students.This study takes in-service teacher students as the research object,and explores whether educational internship has an impact on the professional identity of vocational teachers,what kind of impact,and how it has an impact.Based on the analysis of the results that affect it,recommendations are made.Based on the above research objectives,this study used in-depth interviews and object analysis to develop an interview outline and conduct in-depth interviews with five VET teacher trainees,based on self-identity theory and self-efficacy theory,to conduct a study on the influence of educational internships on VET teacher trainees’ teacher career identity.By synthesizing the interviewees’ stories and experiences,the following conclusions can be drawn: first,educational internships have an impact on the vocational teacher education students’ professional identity as teachers.Second,this influence has both positive and negative effects.Third,in educational internships,preparation for training in educational internships,guidance of mentor teachers,culture of internship schools,and professional quality of VET teacher educators all influence VET teacher educators’ professional identity.The influence of these factors on VET teacher trainees’ professional identity is realized through the interaction between the perception and transformation of teacher identity,the active effort in educational internship and the effect of educational internship.Therefore,regarding how to improve the professional identity of VET teacher trainees in educational internship,this study makes suggestions from three aspects: on the school side,firstly,focus on the construction of VET teacher culture or VET teacher culture.Secondly,improve the cultivation mode of VET teacher-training students.Third,build a good internship base.In secondary schools,firstly,strengthen the management of educational internship for VET teacher-training students.Second,strengthen the guidance of instructors.Third,strengthen the communication and exchange between internship schools and colleges and universities.Fourth,give VET teacher trainees appropriate external reinforcement.On the personal side,firstly,improve self-professional quality.Secondly,learn to self-reflect and evaluate.Third,keep a relaxed and happy mood and strengthen attribution training.
