| In view of the deepening of China’s aging society, the fertility policy has undergone a process of changing from control to encouragement. In the context of the new fertility policy, college students,as well-educated young people with a big population, will be the main force of future fertility, and their fertility views will have an important influence on the future population development in China. This study uses questionnaires and interviews to investigate the fertility views of college students in School A.It provides some reference value for improving the three-child policy and creating a favorable fertility environment in the future. The study shows that college students prefer to have 1-2 children or no children. And they prefer to have children at their childbearing. They now tend to be less obsessed with the gender of children, they accept both boys and girls. The majority of students tend to consider fertility and parenting from the perspective of individuals or families, and fail to pay enough attention to the significance of the social value of fertility. Most college students attach great importance on eugenics, and advocate equality between men and women in child rearing.Personal, family and social factors all have different degrees of influence on college students’ fertility views. However, the influence of social policies on college students’ fertility views is not significant;college students’ fertility views show four characteristics of being both traditional and modern, presenting diversity and complexity, paying attention to individual feelings and catering to social expectations, and changing from having fewer children based on policy to endogenously less childbearing. In order to better improve the aging society and population development in China, the study suggests that society needs to create a good culture of fertility and universities should set up corresponding courses to guide college students to establish a scientific and healthy view on fertility; In addition, families should provide a healthy environment for children to grow up and college students should understand and deal with the relationship between fertility and education and career in the complex domestic and international environment, establishing a scientific and rational view of fertility. |
