| According to the requirements of the Compulsory Education English Curriculum Standard(2011 edition)and the Ten-Year Development Plan for Educational Informatization(2011-2020),in English classrooms,teachers should make full use of the advantages of modern educational technology,as well as using information technology to enhance teaching effectiveness,of which “the flipped classroom” is an effective way.In addition,the essence of language learning is to achieve communication between people,which requires teachers to put hearing and speaking at the core in the classroom,focusing on the exercise of learners’ hearing,speaking,reading and writing ability,and promote them to use what they have learned in real situations.However,in the current English flipped classroom teaching model designing,few people take the essence of language into considerations,no more to mention the research about how to use the technology platform to support the creation of language context.Based on this background,the core problem to be solved in this paper is to find the combination of the language learning essence and the flipped classroom,to create an English flipped classroom teaching model that supports situational teaching with the help of Voki platform,and then apply it into teaching practice.First of all,the author used the literature analysis method to carry on the theoretical research on Voki platform,situational teaching,flipped classroom and so on.Secondly,the author used the interview research method to find out the shortcomings in the current English teaching status and used the literature analysis method to refer to the existing English flipped classroom teaching mode,on this basis,an English flipped classroom teaching model is designed,which is based on the Voki platform and supports situational teaching.The greatest advantage of the mode is to pay attention to the essential role of language learning,to use Voki platform to support the creation of teaching situation,and to provide environmental basis for learners’ communication.Subsequently,with the guidance of the model,the author used the design-based research method to make a series of teaching designs.On this basis,the author applied this design to teaching experiments,using experimental research and questionnaire method,and verified the effectiveness of the teaching model.The data results showed that the “Voki platform-based situational English flipped classroom teaching model” played a significant role in improving students’ listening,words,using,reading and writing results,not only that,this model also effectively stimulated students’ learning autonomy and learning interests.Finally,the author summarized the role of this study in creating English teaching situation,promoting students’ cognitive input,helping students to achieve the promotion of intellectual and non-intellectual factors,and then pointed out the shortcomings of this study and the direction of future efforts. |
