In recent years, under the influence of China’s new urbanization background, the urban area of the county is expanding, the high-quality education resources in the county are concentrated in the urban area,a large number of rural and township people buy houses in the county, and parents send their children to urban schools.Under the pressure of life, both parents or one of them have to go out to work, resulting in a significant increase in the number of left behind children in urban schools in the county. Therefore,it is of practical significance to study the education of left behind children in schools in the urban area of the county. In addition,front-line teachers generally reflect that there are more problems for left behind children, not only learning problems, but also psychological problems. In order to comprehensively improve the teaching quality,it is imperative to carry out mental health education for left behind children. This study takes s primary school in a county in Northern Anhui as the research object, and uses the methods of interview and questionnaire to study the educational management problems of the case school. The study found that the performance of children left behind in case schools in learning, behavior habits and psychological quality was worse than that of children with both parents at home; The left behind children cared by grandparents are worse than the children whose parents are at home in learning, behavior habits and psychological quality. The effect of s primary school on the mental health education of left behind children is not ideal. After analyzing the reasons,we come to the conclusion that there are three main aspects: first, due to the lack of teachers and heavy work tasks,s primary school can not implement the mental health education of left behind children in place;Second, the lack of relevant school systems, teachers’ lack of enthusiasm for mental health education for left behind children, low participation, lack of incentive mechanism, less activities in relevant functional rooms such as left behind children’s home and psychological counseling room, unbalanced supervision in school, and lack of long-term mechanism of mental health education; The third is the lack of professional knowledge and ability of front-line teachers in case schools.Managers do not have a good understanding of and pay attention to the mental health education of left behind children.School management focuses on experience rather than theory. From the perspective of the Ecological Systems Theory, this study refines and distinguishes the external factors affecting the physical and mental development of left behind children, that is,children are in a series of systems from inside to outside, and school, family, peers and society have a great impact on the healthy growth of children’s physical and mental health. On the basis of analyzing the reasons, combined with the actual situation of s primary school,The paper puts forward some improvement strategies in line with the actual situation of the school. This study holds that: firstly, schools should improve the quality of mental health education in an all-round way, improve the ways and methods of teachers’ mental health education under the condition of limited teachers, strengthen the helping role of teachers, strengthen the support of schools and enhance the influence of students’ mutual assistance;Secondly,Schools should optimize the management system, carry out fine management, mobilize the enthusiasm of teachers to participate in this work by increasing the incentive system, improve the professionalism of this work by establishing the discussion system, strengthen the supervision and assessment of this work, optimize the supervision system and ensure that all systems are implemented in place; Finally, schools should improve teachers’ professional level and ability, increase teachers’ training in mental health education knowledge and ability, strengthen teachers’ self-study,combine educational theory with teaching experience, and strive to improve the quality and efficiency of education and teaching.
